Amazing roast dinner - great Yorkshires, lovely bit of beef and loads of veg. Also had a great apple crumble and a gluten free brownie/cake for my coeliac wife.

In Farnham for the weekend and discovered The Wheatsheaf pub. I had the best Sunday roast I have ever eaten! A big thank you to the chef/s. It was a barnstormer of a roast dinner!
Came here for a Sunday roast today. Welcomed by three super smiley staff members. Ordered the roast lamb, we were blown away, the meat delicious, seasonal veg, all perfectly seasoned and loved the Yorkshire with a mustard leek filling. Joe our waiter, was lovely and...even got to meet the head chef, who we OF COURSE complimented highly. I wish them continued success, we’ll definitely be back.More
Seriously delicious roast beef and trimmings that exceeded expectations. Great service, will be back
Sunday roast was very delicious and the staff were very accommodating. Would definitely come back again.
Great food, great atmosphere and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. On top of all that, the food was great! Perfect spot for a Sunday lunch.
So glad we found this place. Amazing food, lovely friend service and my girls absolutely loved the cheesecake and Sundae for Dessert.
Stumbled across this lovely pub while shopping in farnham. The food is the best our family absolutely loved it. What an added touch when the chef comes out to say hello and ask if your meals are to standard. (Danny I believe). Will most definitely...be going back very soon.More
Great food, good atomsphere and oive music on a thursday night. Staff were helpful and made sure we felt welcomed. Will be going back for sure!
Came here for lunch on a rainy Wednesday afternoon, so glad we did. Couldn't fault the place! The staff were friendly and attentive but didn't make you feel rushed. They are dog friendly, even bringing some chicken for the dog. The food was delicious, especially...the cheesecake! They're in the process of changing their menu and we will definitely be visiting again to try out any new dishes.More
Had a lovely family lunch here today, all the staff went above and beyond and were so helpful and friendly. Food was fresh and tasty, and our dog Ted was even treated to some chicken, he'd like to come back again!! And so would we,...would highly recommend and will definitely come back when in Farnham again, hopefully it will have stopped raining by then!! Thanks for a great experience 💚More
Visited for lunch on Saturday. Beautiful pub from the street, however inside it has no character at all; it looks like it’s been gutted. We ordered scampi and burgers (chicken and beef) from the limited lunch menu. Really disappointing food. The calamari was served on...a bizarre bed of wilting lettuce leaves and the batter was really dark. My buttermilk chicken was so over cooked it was inedible and I left most of it. They were clearly understaffed so we didn’t make a fuss and just left after attempting to eat our burgers.More
We visited this lovely pub on the ‘Smoked Meat Night’ and wow we were blown away by the quality and amazing taste of the various smoked meats. You get an incredible amount to eat including unlimited fries and slaw although it was a mission to...just get through our initial serving. Danny the chef even came out of the kitchen and introduced himself and explained how he cooked all the different meats . Would highly recommend this gem in West Street, we will definitely be going back.More
We decided on the Wheatsheaf as we hadn’t been there for a couple of years and were glad we did. We got a drink and we were shown into the restaurant area by a very pleasant bar lady Alana. She gave us the menu and...plenty of time to choose. At this time the manager made himself known to us and welcomed us. The meals arrived in good time and were superb. Even the chef stopped by and asked how the meals were. Overall an excellent meal time.More
Definitely recommend The Wheatsheaf for an evening meal. Welcoming staff with a relaxed atmosphere. Comfy seating for pre drinks and the dining area is well spaced out. Loved the unusual lampshades! The food is delicious and the chef was very attentive. The manager was around...keeping an eye on things, which is always a good sign of a well run establishment, and he also checked if everything was ok with our meal and said goodbye as we left. 10/10More
