Restaurant was full of happy customers - smiles on everyone's face! It was clean, sharp with an electric atmosphere. The staff were clearly getting a lot from seeing everyone enjoying themselves. They went out of their way to be helpful, and nothing was too much trouble for them. They even shared a laugh and a joke with all their guests... More

Fantastic restaurant. The food and service were great. Wide choice on the menu and so far everything I've had here has been very good!

Found on TA and very highly rated. Visited on a Sunday night and nice to see the restaurant busy. Lovely humus and authentic bread.....BUT very disappointed to see a 90p charge on the bill for the extra basket that we ordered to accompany the starter. Chicken kebab was very nice, with plentiful salad and bulgur. Management needs to reassess whether... More

Went for dinner on a Thursday night, fairly busy but we received good service. Had mixed platter, really nice, although everything looked nice. Reasonably well priced and added bonus of belly dancer who was good fun and got everyone who wanted to involved. Definitely recommend.

We searched TripAdvisor for the best restaurants in the Kingston area and Cappadocia was second on the list, so we had high expectations. We were not disappointed. The hot mezze was a great combination of meats and cheeses with plenty of bread. Even the lamb kidney had disappeared by the time the plates were collected. The mains then followed and... More

Large portions of poor quality ingredients - we shared one main but could not finish it, there was too much there - while everyone else (including quite a few Turkish people) ordered individual mains and seemed to finish everything. İskender Kebab (£14.20) was described as: Fillet of lamb and top side beef minced with fresh herbs in round shape grilled... More

Doesn't matter how full is the restaurant, staff always finds a cosy place to sit. Food arrives quickly and in generous portions. The aroma of being cooked dishes fills the room and makes you a bit too greedy. I always end up ordering more food than can consume in Cappadocia. That lentil soup spiced with some herbs has such a... More

Excellent restaurant with good food and service and good value, located just by the station. Quite compact and so probably not a place for a romantic meal but great for a group of people

Description
We started out in Kingston in 2001 and opened our Walton restaurant in June 2014.

Our owner, executive chef, and many of our staff are Turkish and they have proudly drawn on their heritage to create a little corner of Turkey in the UK.

Our food is cooked by chefs who were brought up with traditional Turkish cooking and who have been trained to the highest standards in Istanbul.

We want you to enjoy the true taste of Turkey so the interiors of both restaurants are designed with Turkish decor. And all food is served in authentic Turkish cooking utensils such as clay pots.

THE ORIGINS OF OUR NAME

According to ancient history, Cappadocia was the birthplace of St George. It means "the land of beautiful horses and was an extensive inland district of Asia Minor, which is now modern Turkey.

The first settlers built their homes into stone cliffs and burrowed their cities underground. Today tourists are drawn to Cappadocia by its unusual scenery, and of course to stay in a cave hotel.
