First time visit. We booked for Friday night, earliest availability was 8:45pm which was a bit late for the children. When we arrived we had to wait another 10 mins before the previous diners left and they cleaned down the table. Everyone was coming and leaving from the same door so a little alarming. Food however was very good, tasty and well marinated, charcoal grilled. Lots of free bread, but service a little slow. It was still quite busy at 9pm and was a little pricey compared to some other similar restaurants in the area.

Very busy for Valentine's day but the service was still excellent. We had hot meze plate for two followed by mixed grilled meats and lamb shish. All the meat dishes were outstanding, the best being the lamb's liver which came with the meze. Some of the other dishes were less inspiring, the humus, halloumi and sucuk were OK but not great. There was music and a Turkish dancer, unfortunately the music was so loud you couldn't hold a conversation. In summary a bit of a mixed bag. Definitely go for the grilled meat and bear in mind that the restaurant might be better for a crowd than a dinner for two.

Good and delicious food. Excellent location - right in front of Kingston railway station and within the town center. So you just cant miss this place. Good ambiance and service. Best Turkish food in Kingston area. You will generally find a queue of people wanting to get hold of their freshly prepared manakesh and shawarmas, available at their walk-in counters.

Popped in here after work for some dinner, the meal was ok but several things let it down. We were quickly seated, although the seating arrangements throughout the restaurant were almost uncomfortably close to each other. For starters we had the garlic bread and the spicy sausage, both were at best average and the portion sizes not particularly large. When the mains came out the empty starter plates were still on the table, so the waiter had to awkwardly hover while he called someone over to move the plates, and then we had to further wait while someone brought over new cutlery. For mains we had the lamb cutlets and the lamb shish kebab, both were quite nice but no one came to ask how the food was or check everything was ok, which was frustrating as both dishes could have done with some sauce! I tried getting the attention of a waitress but she seemed to look right through me. For desserts, we had the chocolate mousse and the baklava which were both nice, but again nothing spectacular. The most disappointing part of the evening was the bill... £9.45 service charge was included, which for two people on a Wednesday evening before 7 pm seemed rather a lot! No doubt we could have asked for it to be removed... but that’s an awkward hassle that I'm sure no one bothers with. Unless it’s a large group, or very good service(!), the bill, in my opinion, should only include the food/drink allowing the customer to tip/add service charge as they deem fit. The bill came to £85 so although not terrible, for only three drinks (total) and the food £40+ per person was quite a lot. We probably could have got an equally nice meal for less from many other places in Kingston. Overall, although everything was ok for the price I would not return.

Completely shocked by my takeaway Halloumi & Falafel salad. After waiting 20 minutes and being presented with a box the size of my hand I at least expected my £7.40 meal to taste good. I did actually question the manager as to whether I had the correct order with the 2 x slices of halloumi, 2 x falafel, 3 slices cucumber and 2 segments of tomato all swimming in a gluey hummus. He said it was correct. As well as being horrendously overpriced, the falafels were like chewing gum and the halloumi like rubber. A man did hand back a half eaten wrap and stormed off but I took no notice and there were three gentlemen moaning about the wait. I can only assume either the good reviews are by those who don't know good Turkish food or there's a staffing problem today. So disappointed I won't return for any more substandard fayre.

I love Turkish food but my honest opinion if you haven’t eaten the proper Turkish food you may or may not be praising this restaurant the truth is they have no idea what is Turkish cuisine I have given this restaurant three chances and today is definitely my last. I went with two other friends for a business lunch and ordered the cold Meza to share plus each ordered the pedi (Turkish pizza). Okay let’s start with the service and that as okay but the starters was a rustled up (excuse the spelling) Hommos, tsatsiki, Babaganoutch and two other cold starters all were tasteless and would class them as a disgrace to Turkish cuisine. The main was just as bad “lamb pedi” full of grease too much cheese and very little lamb. I visited Turkey a number of times and that dish was an amazing one full of flavour and thick crusty bake but sadly capadocia failed this traditional dish one of many Turkish dishes. My conclusion is if you haven’t tasted real Turkish food before you may never know the difference. Disappointed and so were my business partners

From entering to the restaurant we were straight away confronted with moody faces and rude staff. Me and my family came on Saturday evening to have a fun and pleasurable dinner but soon realised what a mistake we had done. We have been here before but never knew how disappointed we would be after coming again and i can reassure we wont be visiting in the future. We waited 15 minutes just to order our food. The staff members were just watching us and talking between each other until my husband called them over. Our drinks came very late and even though my families food was hot, mine was cold, which made me not want to eat it. When they took the plate they did not ask if there was anything wrong with it or why I didn’t eat it. Not what I expected from a restaurant like this. Made our day less enjoyable. We don't think we will come here again. Disappointed.

Food is decent although I think it's overpriced for what it is. Wine is also overpriced, especially the house wines. They should be priced around £15-16. I was there in December as was not happy with the preparation I saw in the kitchen. The chef preparing (not the cook) had no gloves or mask and the waitress wore gloves but no mask, why? I'm not sure if chefs are now required to wear masks and gloves when preparing food.

I visited with my husband and our son, table was booked but we still had to wait when we arrived. Staff are not very welcoming, and when seated at our table and ordered food we waited an hour for our food which is far too long..Starter was served with the main which was pointless. Food was nice but very over priced for the portion size. My lamb shish was tiny and for £16.50 was not worth that. No sauces were offered we had to ask for that which is unusual Service was so bad I told the man waiting for payment I was not happy paying the £9 tip that was automatically added to our bill. It came to £67 without that so he brought back the revised bill with a moody demeanour lol. Didn't care. I am more than happy to pay for good service and theirs fell well below par. I paid £70 as I'm not waiting for chump change but they didn't even deserve the less than £3 extra we paid. Halfway through our meal we had asked for a jug of water that was never brought out so we gave up and just left after eating. They are missing that service that makes you want to return, that makes you feel welcomed and also isn't so slow. I have never visited a restaurant with service this bad and lack of attention to care of customer so wouldn't return!

I went for lunch. I was waiting by the door and they asked me to use sanitizer on my hands, Once inside the safety measures for COVID 19 were very well organised. The Mixed Pide cooked by the young chef was lamb mixed with egg and cheese,,its was delicious and tasty, the portion was huge.. also I can recommend with Turkish tea. The service was very friendly and the staff were excellent.

I booked a table with a query of birthday candle in the dessert at the end for our 14 year old daughter. When we arrived our table was still dirty. We waited 50 minutes for our drinks to arrive (finished starter by the time we got them) then another 25 mins for one missing drink. No problem, as we love(d) this place so we were patient. I went to the bar to remind the waiter to bring a candle with the birthday cake/dessert and to have birthday music playing. They said ok, even checked who the BD girl was. The waitresses were arguing next to us (with each other). Not too professional. We ordered dessert which arrived the ordinary way without a candle. My daughter won’t be 14 again. It was one of our favourite restaurant but we came home very upset and disappointed. When I mentioned this to the waiter he said a meaningless sorry. I doubt we’ll go back again.

We been regularly visiting this place during lockdown and before, my son loved the ice cream stand that was outside and so we loved the food. Yesterday my wife went in after the restaurant has reopened on the 4th of july , asking if she can still have an ice cream to take away.. the answer that came from an old man, was a dismissing gesture with his hand saying " go and ask outside " like we she was bothering him! Well after someone has been supporting you business during this time and before this is the way of saying thanks ! Won't be back anytime soon

I reviewed Cappadocia few years ago and it was one of the top restaurants in Kingston, no question. Now we went there after long break and had a very different experience… The ambiance isn’t so great and it didn’t smell very nice. They were very busy, which is good but their service has gone significantly down and prices up (approx £2 per dish above competition). At the same time the food quality has definitely gone down and it’s no longer a place I’d be happy to recommend to friends which we always used to. An example of their let down is their kids menu, which only includes mains (unlike everywhere else and costing the same) and the mains selection is very poor. Also when we asked about some lettuce or tomatoes in the kids burger we were told they didn’t have any just to bring a bowl of salad (including lettuce) for our mains shortly after… They also used to give some Turkish delights with the bill, which our son was really looking forward. When they didn’t give it this time and our son asked about that, he was advised he can buy them in a nearby market... I could understand all those cuts to make up for lost profit during Covid lockdown but they were absolutely cashing it with their takeaways, where they had always queues when the others were shut. Considering all that we’ll give it a break from returning to Cappadocia which is great shame as we used to love it but fortunately there are many other Turkish places not too far that put customers before profit…

We have eaten here a handful of times in the last few few years, the food is always excellent but the customer service, this time, had really gone downhill. Our takeaway order shish kebabs were served with pittas for some reason when every other time they’ve been served in wraps. When we asked to change these for wraps, the young cocky lad was rude and obviously felt very put-out by it all. He came across very arrogant. It has put us off going back again for a while. Cannot fault the food however, meat is always excellent.
