Visited on Saturday night with friends who have recently moved to Oxshott from Cobham. I haven't been to this pub in probably 5 years ( not long after the previous refurbishment ). Then we had a good meal. Now it has recently just reopened after a long refurbishment and blimey have they wasted their money. I have no idea what... More

Struggle to get into the car park. Excellently appointed pub restaurant. Staff were very pleasant but needed training on the menu. Food not bad. Wine list pretentious and expensive.

The food was good but service was shocking! There were only 5 tables being used, and it was awful! Bar tender didn't know what he was doing and started to serve someone else before we even got our drinks. Once seated, we were rushed to make our order, rushed to eat and rushed to leave. When we did get the... More

Having stumbled across this place having been diverted from M25 I can't recommend it enough. Having just got off a long flight my wife and I were absolutely starving and we're grateful to have found this place. Staff couldn't do enough to help us feel welcome, promptly took our order and our food was quickly prepared to my expectant high... More

We had booked a table for a pre-wedding lunch. Arrived very late due to a major traffic jam on the M25 and with only 40 minutes to spare to squeeze in a sandwich and a quick change of clothes. The staff could not have been more accomodating. Drinks were brought very promptly and the chef worked speedily to produce three... More

This used to be a great pub with food. The current management have killed it, the service and food can only be described as dreadful, especially the lack of service.

We frequently drive past the Bear but had never stopped there before. Yesterday my son was playing cricket in the village, and Grandma had come along to watch, so it provided the perfect excuse to give it a try. My wife had booked a table, and we were able to sit outside, even though there were eight of us. Grandma... More

I live close by and visit often. Sadly there is always something wrong, if the food is good the service is poor, slow and sometimes dreadful. If the service is good then the food will be of poor quality. Restaurant prices, bur not the service or the style. I hear it is closing soon for refurbishment I hope the new... More

We stopped here after passing it quite a few times on the way home. The food was well presented but unfortunately average in taste. Both of us had the fillet steak at £23.00 a pop, was the most expensive steak on the menu. Medium cooked was ordered, close to well done was received. The menu could have a greater selection,... The reason we use this eatery is its convenience to the M25, and we meet up here when passing that way. I gather that it has new management who have made a difference after it had slipped in to mediocreism. We had a good meal and were served by very pleasant staff. Would certainly use it again and hope that... More
