Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sunday Lunch, often not so good for a vegetarian, however the Nut Roast option with all the trimmings definitely hit the spot, a generous helping and very tasty. Nice down to earth atmosphere with friendly service made a relaxed and enjoyable visit. We will certainly...be heading back again soon.More

My friends and I went to The Inn On The Pond for Sunday lunch which now has new ownership and is open 7 days a week for both lunch and dinner. The Sunday lunch however is beyond your expectations. There are options for both meat...and vegan customers, overflowing not only with quantity but flavours that take you right back to a home cooked meal. Don't get me started on the desserts. Delish from start to finish.More

Me, my partner and two friends stop for a late Sunday roast on the 12/11/2023. We ordered two chicken , two beef roasts, with lots of extra requirements ( fussy eaters) have to say all our needs where met with no problem , the roasts...are full of flavour and the size of the portions for the price are superb. We all left feeling like we had eaten a feast. Would defiantly return again for a roast, probably one of the best you’d find in the area .More

Easier to find than you might expect for somewhere which looks quite remote from pictures, lots of outside seating which were full of dog walkers taking advantage of the countryside . The menu was quite varied and enjoyable, the service was friendly and attentive, would...certainly visit again if in the areaMore

Not one to usually complain, just felt I had too. We went here for lunch 1/11/23. I ordered the chicken salad, I had to send it back as the lettuce was brown, it looked disgusting. The waitress said that it was the sauce from the...chicken ! the chicken had actually been grilled and did not come with a sauce. I also requested not to have the dressing, yet when it arrived the dressing was all over the salad The waitress took the plate of food back to the kitchen and retuned to the table stating the chef said it had oxidized!! it was clearly rotten. My sister ordered the fish and chips that also was returned to the kitchen, the batter was soft and not at all nice. The waitress did ask if I would anything else to eat. I declined as unfortunately the other options came with salad or chips. Why would I order salad again which was clearly inedible. We asked for the bill, however, when the waitress bought it over it read £35 minus my £12.50 salad, no actual total was on the sheet of paper, not really a bill at all, she went away and provided a itemised hand written bill on the till roll. Apparently, the pub has recently changed management. We will not be returning and would not recommend.More

Great food location spoiled by noisy dogs and children running around . Staff really friendly and accommodating. Service also really good and if it wasn't for the noise would come back

This is the first time we have visited here and unfortunately it will be our last. One order was incorrect and the service was extremely slow, and it wasn't very busy either. My daughter ordered an alcohol drink and I noticed there was something black...floating in it. On closer inspection it turned out to be a dead fly. I spoke to a member of staff, who did apologise, but said she forgot to check the bottles like they are supposed to do. We were a party of 8 so did spend quite a substantial amount of money. The staff were very friendly and the food was nice enough but a very limited menu. From reading the reviews I understand it has recently been taken over so maybe this is just a blip.More

Went here for a nice pub meal outside as its recently been taken over the menu was very slim but a good little variety of food and Me my partner chose the burger with fries and a side of onion rings it took around 25...minutes for the food to come out but I didn't mind the wait as the view from outside was lovely the staff is very polite and the whole place is like a friendly family. the burger and chips were absolutely lovely all I would say is they could have a variety of different sauces but other than that the food was delicious and we ended up staying for a couple of hours inside as it's just a cozy little spot to have a drink and talk to the people at the pub.More

I don’t usually go drinking outside of Reigate, however I’m sure to make Inn on The Pond a more regular pub in my rotation. Good selection of lagers, although I’ll be hard pushed to go anything other than San Miguel. The pizza was fantastic and...I was happy to learn I could customise rather than be restricted to specifically what was on the menu. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, it’s reassuring to be going out alone and for staff to be social.More

Lovely old pub with tables out the front by the pond and good pub food. Stayed the in car park overnight in our motorhome (rang first), they have security cameras, and had a very peaceful night. Had a nice walk round the nearby lake in...the morning. As mentioned by others, road very narrow to the north. The staff are lovely. Thank you Brenda for looking after us.More

Ordered toad in hole and the Yorkshire pudding was so burnt it was inedible ( the rest was nice) . Having taking the offending item back was offered a drink on the house ( fair) . When discussing with the manager after I had never...had such a shallow apology! In fact she started talking about the rainbow over the cricket pitch ! Usually a good venue but when things go wrong they should at least try to make things better . Incredibly disappointing by them as a genuine apology woukd have sufficedMore
