The first time in this part of the world last Sunday. Stopped for a coffee and a hot chocolate and two pannins. The whole experience was excellent from that of the dedicated staff, clean tables, dog friendly, fantastic price and value for money with excellent...customer service. Will definitely recommend to anyone and will call again.More
Can't fault the location or the food, the steak rice box was delicious and well worth the money paid. However, they are using sainsburys plastic cups for their wine which measure around 150ml but charging for 175ml. This should be looked at as against trading...standards. Tbf for the price you could sell it as a smaller measure, but you should be advertising it for the same. Won't stop me going again!More
Minchellas has been around since 1942 and serves beautiful ice cream. It was a bit chilly today for one today so we opted for cheese toasties and warming coffee. One of their parlours is situated right on the beach at Haven Point. Food and drink...were lovely, reasonably priced, staff were very polite. Only down point was the table that we cleared ourselves to get a table. Worth a visit all year round but obviously if we get a summer it gets very busy.More
The burger looked pre-made not fresh.. Monotone coloured, as if it was steamed - no obvious grilling or frying for tasty browning. Not dry, but tasted of stewed mince. A cold cheese slice placed on top of it. It doesn't matter how much other garnish...you put on it (a lot), you've no excuse for getting something so simple and easy so wrong. But, the cajun chicken rice box was great, the service is superb, the coffee's ok and we all know about the great ice cream, so have a 3/5 .More
Visiting South Shields for day and found this little place had a wrap and a sandwich both made fresh and really good lovely little sitting area and when finished nipped round other side for ice cream oyster shell style not had one in years and...was fantastic, great little place nice menu great location.More
Lovely outdoor seating, food and drinks. Had only every had an ice cream here so decided to try the food when meeting a friend. Was not disappointed. I had a steak salad box which was plenty for lunch. I took half the salad home to...finish off later. The caramel lattes hit the spot too. 😋More
We visited this and another Toney Minchella last week and enjoyed toasties and sausage sandwiches with good coffee. Friendly staff and looks very clean. Will definitely be back on our next visit to South Shields
It's right next to the beach which was super convenient for us. Also very good quality drinks for a low price. I got a hot chocolate and my partner got a mocha and both were lovely.
order what you want from the displayed menu and it is prepared while you wait, I had the chicken salad in a box
Our favourite place for a Sunday morning sausage sandwich! This little cafe is brilliant - lovely staff, freshly cooked food and super service. We go regularly and have never had anything but a gorgeous breakfast!
Steak wrap, teacake and two coffees. We stopped off here due a cuppa and light bite as the other restaurants and cafe were not very appealing. Cold Dec day and all but 1 table free when we arrived. Food was very respectable for such a...small cafe. Coffee was excellent as expected from Minchella franchise. Great service and friendly staff. Saw a chap in motorised chair and they couldn't do enough for him. Nice to see in this day and age.More

Great! It's back on the menu, winter broth. It's served with croutons and chopped chives, exactly what you need on a chilly day by the beach.
Real dairy ice cream, not the Mr whippy type but the real thing! Been here quite a few times! Highly recommended!
