We went to Da Vincis on an impulse tonight. Although we have been many times before. We walked into a packed restaurant. Fortunately, the family who were celebrating a birthday are related to my wife. We were squeezed in. The staff were brilliant. They coped...with a packed room. Went for Early Bird meal with friends. The entire meals were very poor. Lasagne portion absolutely tiny. Bolognaise sauce was watery. Was told by the waiter that the portion was small as it was early bird. Misleading advert as the meal was half the size....Asked to speak to the manager we were informed they were too busy to speak to us. We won’t go back !,More

The whole of the ocean Road is full of restaurants and we decided on Da Vinci italian. It was a good choice. Lovely welcome, great traditional restaurant with a warm feel and welcome. The food and service was fantastic. would recommend as it was lovely...italian food.More

Great restaurant, excellent food and staff. Only down side, very cold, no heating on. Was also there in January and same problem.

food was basic not very tasty very bland amenities were dated and whole place was needing a update to decor staff were serving were good and helpful

DaVinci’s is our favourite Italians in this area, food never disappoints, good menu selection, reasonable prices. Staff are always so friendly, the two young waiters are very professional and mature, cozy surroundings and a traditional atmosphere.

Amazing place, we absolutely love it. My favourite in South Shields. Owner is wonderful and his staff are very friendly too. We were invited back after a fantastic meal for a Sunday dinner today and I could not reccomend enough. Gorgeous home made Yorkshire puddings...and plenty of turkey. Love their mid week offers and food, never had a bad experience. 10/10More

The menu is priced differently to the website, for example the web said £17 for a steak and when we sat down it was actually £25. Quite a bit of a difference which may be an unpleasant surprise for some people, especially if you’re on...a budget. Saying that the food was lovely and the service was good.More

My partner and myself visited from Perth Western Australia & after not being back to the UK for 6 yrs due to covid, this was without doubt the best meal and friendly service & the highlight of our trip so far. the owner was friendly...and described the food in detail and both our meals were delicious and great value for money. I had the Gamberoni Al ferno, which was Superb and my partners meal was equally as good as mine. The staff were amazing & friendly and could not be more helpful. We have collectively been going to DaVinci’s for many years now, and we have never experienced a bad meal. The food seems to improve with every visit. The menu is full of selection and there is some great gems on the specials board, the Pork...belly and Black pudding dishes are a fave! Although a small restaurant, it feels authentic and quaint, which is what I like from an Italians. The staff are super friendly and the chefs clearly can work magic in the kitchen. Very reasonably priced also for the quality of food you receive, which I’d say is in a top class!More

We visited Da Vinci's on a number of occasions while visiting family in South Shield, with family & as a couple. The food was fabulous (especially the Gambas), as was the service. A special mention to Anna & Ryan for their very friendly service. Highly...recommended.More

What an amazing experience, The staff have the perfect, helpful attitude, and the food & drink are pretty good too. We had two steaks and they were out of this world and a cocktail box (we weren't expecting a cocktail actually turning up in a...little cooler box) the cocktail box is definitely worth it 🙂 They always found a way to make us happy that's the main thing The atmosphere was amazing we walked in and was greeted by a woman who was actually smiling and happy to see us (I've been in restaurants where it's like they don't want to be there), so it was actually being treated like family which is why we definitely would go back 5* all roundMore
