The reaction to the food was very mixed, some being very pleased, others not so but I would rate it overall as being slightly lower than we have come to expect from a good gastro pub, it... More

This is a fabulous old style Pub/Resturant, the food is very good and the atmosphere very pleasent, good choice on the Menu and not too expensive, good to meet up with friends and family.

Decided to pop out for a couples drinks, we like to try different areas and never been here before. We decided to stop here at The Dun Cow, nice historical feeling about the place, lovely and cosy with a real log fire. Friendly staff and reasonable prices drinks. Would be back again for more drinks.

Glad we had booked as it was very busy on a Saturday lunchtime. Can recommend the prawn & salmon sandwich. Lovely with an open fire on a cold & windy day.

Four of us went here at 7.15pm last Friday for a birthday celebration. Naturally it was busy but we were waited on by a very polite and personable young woman named Charlie. We had a pleasure lunch at Dow Cow. But it is a crowded place, it's necessary book in advance. The food is delicious.

Visited the Dun Cow a couple of weekends ago whilst visiting family in the area. Great bustling pub with very comfortable accommodation. Will definitely make this first choice for this trip in the future.

Overall disappointed..the rooms are tired, the evening meal was overpriced for what it was, and the quality was ok. Paid just under £70...wish I'd paid s bit more and gone to the premier inn.
