Well we finally come to one of my best restaurants. Not because it an all you can eat but the quality and just wow factor. It can be a bit pricey on someday but there are different prices for different days. But for me £18...Thursday Night. The rule is simple. £18 pays for a Starter, Main and Desert but you can take Desert home with you (drinks not included). My Trip After they seat you they will offer you drinks. They will bring a basket of beard and butter. I never eat the bread as I here is the Carvery but it a nice offer. For start I always have the same Prawn Cocktail on a bed of salad. It is fresh and fragrant. The Mains and all you can eat Carvery (3 Meats) . For me it was Beef, Turkey and Pork. Get your Yorkshire pudding and roast Potatoes. Broccoli Cheese and all vegs you need. Top this of with a Gravy boat and more Gravy. A meal fit for a king. After 2-3 plates I'm done for the week. Desert selection is always different every time i go but the cheesecake is a nice treat the next day. I tend to get it warped and takin home. Pay for the bill and job done. I cant really say how much i love the Huntsman but I would say it is a worth try for all people who love Carvery's. Not to Veggies though.More

Recently had a dad / daughter day and we found ourselves having Sunday Lunch at the Huntsman Carvery. My daughter had wanted to go to the Dun Cow but as this day out was last minute we couldn't get a table so I suggested we...tried the Huntsman Carvery over the road. Boy I'm glad we did, although they were very busy we were given a table and we both had the best meal we have had in a long time! To start we had the Brie in Panco breadcrumbs and the Pate ....both were really delicious! And then we had the wonderful Carvery . I had beef which just melted in my mouth and my daughter had turkey and stuffing which was just as tasty , she even had seconds!! I has such a plateful I couldn't manage any more. Deserts were Banofee Cheesecake and Orange Chocolate Brownie ...both were lovely. Would definitely recommend this restaurant, it is very oldy worldy and is full of atmosphere and all the waiting staff were very attentive and friendly. I'm in my fifties and I had come here as a young boy with my parents , it was just as I remembered it. Loved it then and love it now ....thumbs up!!More

I hosted my 50th Birthday Gathering at the Huntsman... The management team and staff did an exceptional job of making the evening special... The food was it's usually high standard despite there being 45 in the party. Starters, The Main Event - Carvery and Desserts...were all delicious... Thank Chef, Andy for all your hard work leading up to the celebrations and Rachel and team on the night.... I'll be back for another visit soon xMore

We visited here before coronavirus hit, but I just had to say a few words about one of our favourites. This is a well managed restaurant, and the food is always excellent. My children love going up to get their carvery, which is always plentiful...in portions. The staff are friendly and we enjoy the atmosphere. Can't wait to come again!More

Still by far the best carvery around. Service was excellent, waiting staff were attentive and friendly. The meat and the home made sausages are to die for. I cannot for the life of me understand how someone can roast a beef joint that literally melts...in your mouth.More

Prior to the Covid pandemic I have been a regular diner at The Huntsman Carvery. For special occasions it’s my go to restaurant, Christmases, Birthdays, Anniversaries whatever the reason, we always left feeling like we had had an amazing meal good value meal with excellent...service and entertainment from the carvery chefs. I accept that Covid has changed many things in all aspects of how we live today. Today was the first occasion when we booked a restaurant post lockdown and, as we had previous positive experiences we expected a similar service. Imagine our disappointment then when every aspect of the main meal was tepid, served on cold plates, the fried Brie as a starter was floating in cooking oil, my sons larger was spilled by the waitress on service with no offer to replace, the fact that it was flat and needed to be replaced was just another thing, condiments had to be requested, salt and pepper served in cheap sachets, we all agreed that we have enjoyed better service and food in lesser places. And so for £27.95 per head you will understand that we will not be returning to the Huntsman Carvery again.More

There is a set roast dinner menu of three courses, the amount of food you get is amazing and the food itself is of the highest quality, would highly recommend

Pre-ordered a few days before as i know it gets super busy, as always you get plenty of food for your money, lots of super tasty meat but veggies are just as good. Certainly value for money. 5 stars. Always recommend to friends and family

Ordered a family takeaway for easter in the hope of having a normal roast. The takeaway surpassed our expectations. Meat was tender, gravy was excellent and most importantly there was plenty of everything. We actually ordered a few extras of potatoes and yorkshire puddings just...in case (some places don't give nearly enough) but we really didn't need to. A day later we are still working our way through everything. Couldn't have been more pleased with the meal.More

Got a takeaway roast during lockdown restrictions and it was fabulous! We drove up to Draycote Water to eat it in the camper van so it was 10 mins or so until we opened the box, but the food had been packaged thoughtfully (gravy separately...sealed in cardboard soup pots for example) which meant everything was still hot, beautifully cooked, and tasted delicious. Very impressed -we will return. Thank you The Huntsman team for a lovely Sunday Roast 👍👍👍More
