The food was excellent the choice was very varied. The presentation was very pleasing to the eye. The ambiance was very romantic for the Valentine Day experience. The service was excellent. Would recommend this bistro every time you want something different. Looking forward to our next visit. Wish it was open more evening!!

We had lunch here on a Saturday. Service was fine but I didn't think that the food was particularly special

Visited today with friends. The area where you sit to eat could be nicer. The staff were very nice. Food was nice but a bit more expensive compared to other places. However if you are in town and want something to eat you wont be disappointed.

I used to lunch here with friends regularly. Stopped going over a year ago due to very poor food. Same menu as before but clearly cost cutting as you need to look for the fillings in sandwiches and baked potatoes. Clearly using poorer quality food and less of it. It's a shame because service was always great.

Went with friends from work and had to order and pay in advance!! Weeks earlier. Such an underwhelming menu more akin to service area grub. Salads must be prepared far in advace they where warm and the slice of tomato tasted only of the cucumber it sat upon. Transport cafe grub at expensive prices. Not again sorry.

We've been going to the Jailhouse for Sunday lunch carvery for years and we're very disappointed with the changes they brought in. No more carvery but a plated Sunday lunch with small choice of veg, and most noticeably no roast parsnips. This place had the best roast parsnips in the world, why on earth are they not serving them anymore?... More

Ordered battered fish and chips half expecting home made fish and chips. What I received amounted to 2 pieces of Birds Eye battered fish with chips that seemed to be refried. Not what you expect from a meal costing €7.95.
