We've been going to the Jailhouse for Sunday lunch carvery for years and we're very disappointed with the changes they brought in. No more carvery but a plated Sunday lunch with small choice of veg, and most noticeably no roast parsnips. This place had the best roast parsnips in the world, why on earth are they not serving them anymore?... More

Ordered battered fish and chips half expecting home made fish and chips. What I received amounted to 2 pieces of Birds Eye battered fish with chips that seemed to be refried. Not what you expect from a meal costing €7.95.

Ok enough to stop over during or after shopping for a light bite and a drink. Staff pleasant enough, but prices a little on the high side for what you actually get. Can't think of anywhere similar in the town so it should attract a regular clientèle.

Have eaten lunch here several lunches with a friend. The food is fresh and have had the potato skins with chilli con carne the last couple of times, which is very tasty. The staff are friendly.

I always go there for lunch when I am in town. It's a nice atmosphere and most of the staff is lovely. It could use an update on the decor, but when I have brought friends from abroad, they always love that it is a bit quirky.

Perfect for a drink and a well earned snack having survived another shopping expedition. The staff are always friendly and we have known many of them and Kim for many years. Works for us.

Thank Peter W
