Came for my Brothers Birthday meal, the landlord was very welcoming. The food & service in the restaurant was superb.

Starters were fantastic but mains were awful. Two members of staff asked why we didn't like our meal but did nothing with the bill: £76 for a disappointing night out. Avoid.

8 of us attended last night for a get together. Was very busy but a warm welcome was given and this carried on throughout the evening. We all had 3 courses which were all very good. A good evening was had, will return again.

The Coach and Horses is that rare thing - a country pub that serves really good food. It also has a delightful 'pubby' ambience with an open fire and a proper bar. And to complete the picture, the beers are good, too. There is a lunch menu with starters and mains, which looked tempting. We didn't think we could justice... More

We called for drinks and bar snacks after visiting Sheffield Park which it is conveniently near. We arrived after they stopped serving food but they graciously accommodated us and we enjoyed lunch in their delightful garden. Because the pub is a little off the beaten track it's a very pleasant place to eat if the sun is out. We only... More

We went mid week for a casual dinner. We had asked for a table In the bar so we could bring our puppy, we were made very welcome, so was the puppy. Drinks offered on arrival by a lovely waitress and menus given promptly. A great range of dishes reflecting the time of year and lots of local produce being... More

12 of us went to celebrate a 50th birthday. Lovely country pub offering an excellent menu. I had delicious moules followed by guinea fowl. My other half had sweet chilli pork pieces as a starter, followed by rump steak. The staff were very attentive and the whole atmosphere in the pub was friendly. We will definitely be back to sample... More

I dined here mid-week, having been on a few occasions before and enjoyed it each time. The menu is nicely varied with an emphasis on good quality, local ingredients. The food was beautifully presented and quite delicious, I had a wonderful duck leg in peppercorn sauce which was cooked to perfection and was a real treat for the senses. Service... More

Went for a grown up meal with my wife. The food was well prepared but somehow lacked a wow factor. It feels like this place doesn't quite know what it wants to be. Relatively bland menu bordering on pub grub but with excellent execution. Small portions and high prices but with good flavors, Service was ok but not special. There is... More
