Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very weird atmosphere, staff and customers were not very welcoming. Definitely a locals pub. Quite expensive for drinks. Swerve it, plenty of other pubs nearby to go.

I come to this pub very regularly on a Friday night for their karaoke. I am always greeted by amazing professional and a friendly door staff Cameron and Hannah. These two people always make me feel completely safe and make sure that I have a...safe way to get home plus are amazing to talk to throughout the whole white heart experience. The bar staff are extremely friendly and always remember what I drink and the karaoke is phenomenal with spooky with millions of song choices I would always recommend this place all the time they keep their amazing door staff who for me personally make my night always feel safe, welcoming and extremely friendly xMore

This pub has no respect for people living close by when the pub is ment to shut 11.30 / 12pm there are peoples till in the garden talking loud and laughing loud sometimes music too and sometimes goes on till 3 in the morning, it's...disgusting people have kids around the flats at the back and some of us can't have our windows open due to the noises out there so so bad and was even thinking of calling police and there are quite a few people in the flats gave said the same they really need to have respect and think of people with kids and ones that have trouble sleeping !!! Even tried emailing them about the problems with no response so so badMore

Popped in here today for a few cheeky beers. Clear instruction on how to get to the bar. We were asked our name and address etc ordered our drinks then followed to signs to the beer garden. This place has a huge beer garden and...I actually felt at ease. This is one of the best pubs I have been in regarding social distancing.More

Loving Saturday afternoons at The White Hart, playing pool, darts, watching football and the rugby. Great food and excellent value for money. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the customers are friendly. There's something for everyone, with a massive beer garden out the back....Oh and the beers good too.More

Came here for lunch a couple of days after Christmas after a visit to the beach. Were pleased to be allowed in with a rather soggy dog and two sons. We were made very welcome, especially the dog. We all had burgers which were delicious,...very generous portions and excellent value for money. Would definitely come again and recommend.More

Went to watch football and have a drink with my wife and 2 teenage children at 7:30 on a Wednesday evening. We were told we were not welcome with our children (they are both taller than us!), but dogs are welcome! This was a fairly...empty pub and as a family we would have quietly sat and caused no trouble. Obviously this is an establishment that has no need for trade and and does not need the money we would have spent there.More

The only reason I have not given a rating of 5 is the first impression was not attractive inside and backyard was not somewhere pleasant to sit. However the service was perfect. The staff were warm and friendly. The drink selection was very good and...the food was delicious. The menu is just a regular pub grub but excellent value and very well presented. On a very hot sunny day, several times water was provided for our dog. Have not had much luck with pubs in this area but finally one that is happy to welcome the tourist.More

They are clearly undergoing refurbishment at the moment which involves walking round the back the rough an unkempt yard echoing floors. There’s nothing like carpets or curtains to deaden the noise from the laminated floors and when we walked in, we were met by an...aggressive dog being held back by its owners. Maybe it just didn’t like us. There were the usual televisions on with nobody watching , some sweary drunks in the yard, so we had one pint which was decent and left. There are several pubs in Littlehampton and in the four we tried , there were none that we particularly cared for as all of them seemed to be inhabited by people who’d been drinking all day which was reflected in the noisy drunks and shouty teenagers we ran across outside. Maybe Monday is the wrong day to be in Littlehampton.More
