We were looking for some nice Tassie seafood for lunch and the Info Centre recommended both Fish Frenzy and The Octopus Fish Shop. Made the wrong choice! We shared the Fish Frenzy cone with two glasses of wine to complement the fish, scallops, calamari and chips. What a disappointment. Overcooked and tasteless - the wine was OK! On the beach... More

Raced here to have the customary fish and chips by the beach. What a disappointment. Had the Frenzy special and it was so over cooked the fish was charred beyond recognition as were the scallops. Calamari survived. Chips were very crunchy because they were more char fried than golden fried. Very tasteless. Won't be going back.

Enjoyed Fish and chips served in a paper cone with a superb glass of Tassie Sav Blanc. The prices were on the high side but it is certainly a great place on a good day.

Classic fish and chips. I am very fussy and couldnt fault the fish quality the batter and the chips. The scallops were magnificent. Full flavour succulent and firm. The wines and drinks should have something for everyone and the range of soft drink was fine. I am simialarly fussy about the coffee and the LB late and expresso were all... More

Having read a previous comment that the fish portions were too small, "Fish Frenzy" was our second choice for a family lunch in Burnie. Many reviewers also seemed completely preoccupied with the location and view (which was understandable) but not the main purpose of our visit. Pluses: + An excellent choice of honest main-stream seafood. + Service was prompt and... More

We have had brunch here a few time and it has always been excellent. Today we took our daughter who suffers from celiac disease and they were right on the ball and new exactly how to cook and not to cross contaminate.

Uniquely located right on the beach in the Burnie CBD Fish Frenzy provides the ultimate fish and chips experience. Sit inside, or better still sit outside and take in the wonderful views of Bass Strait.

I love fish frenzy, tasty fresh seafood cooked quickly and with great salads. Their scallops in particular are great plus the salmon to die for. We try to get there at least once every 4-5 weeks.

Can't complain on quality or service but for $16.50 would expect a piece of fish bigger than half a ladies palm size. We ordered two of the same dishes and they were both pitiful in size which spoilt an otherwise acceptable dinner. Cooked well....
