After an interesting browse in the antiques and reclaimed sections, finished off with a lovely lunch/tea. Reasonably priced 'special' food available. We had seafood and pasta, and shrimps and salad, with Darjeeling leaf tea and Fentimans. To finish a delicious quartet of small cake selection with coffee. mmmmmm Will be back!

Thank you MrsDoasyouwouldbedon for your lovely comments. There have been many changes since the bypass left us quiet and traffic free, and it's good to hear that you've now come back and like the changes. We hope that you'll return again soon and enjoy some food in Harry's CafeBar, and everything else at Yew Tree Barn! More

Harry's Cafe operates during daylight hours as a cafe, but over the spring/summer months opens once a week on Friday evening for dinner. The furniture is all reclaimed, quirky, different, and generally all for sale. During the day it can be pretty busy as it is a very popular place, but the staff do an amazing job of seating you... Cafe is adjacent to extensive gift shop, in a beautiful old stone building. It's a cozy and charming cafe with helpful, cheerful staff who were also good with directions. Lunch was appetizingly filling; we had mushroom soup and cheese toasty/ sandwich. You get your money's worth. Really enjoyed our visit here enroute to Broughton-in-Furness and would gladly return.

Had lunch today here with a friend. The waitress was really welcoming and friendly. There was a lovely fire burning in the corner. The food was great and we spent a couple of hours catching up with no pressure to leave. Will definitely return soon.
