Always love their wings and all of the sauce choices. I appreciate their local roots and all of the support they give to our community

45-50 wait for the food. Watched the water sniff the chicken wings to identify what they were, that was gross! When food arrived it was ice cold. I told the waiter and the kid cook dumped the same wings with sauce on them back into...the fryer and burned them and covered them with more sauce. French fries were soaked with oil. The place was being run by kids and it showed. We have been there many times before and this was the worst! I told the waiter and the young manager adjusted the bill by $6. It was so bad we couldn’t even eat any of it!More
The server was extremely friendly. We both ordered the steak sandwich with au jus. We waited over 45 minutes for our sandwiches. The au jus was cold. We had both ordered the sandwiches with just cheese. The sandwiches were delivered with onions and mushrooms which...we specifically told our server we did not want the upgrade.More
Food is good, but service is horrible. Much too long of a wait to get drinks. Need a better bartender.
When we arrived the place wasn't busy. It took about 20 minutes just to get our waters. Our food took a full hour to come. With places being short staff these days we are understanding to a degree but no one checked on us or...filled our drinks during that hour. More communication from the staff would have influenced our attitude about having to wait so long. Once we got our food, it was good.More
Service was great and fast! BBQ pulled pork was the best and Buffalo chicken wrap was amazing! Great price for the amount you get!
Got carry out. Ordered online and paid with Apple Pay. Ready on time and hot. Order starter Buffalo chicken dip with pitas. Chicken wings, boneless, with honey mustard sauce. Salmon dinner with broccoli. All portions were generous. Salmon was not over seasoned, we’ve had other...salmon from different restaurants that were too salty. Everything was delicious.More
Staying in Sunbury one night on way to Indiana from NYS. Great sweet potato fries, good local pub atmosphere..
Found this based on TA. We went in around 4:30pm. Waitress was nice. I tripped on the moveable wall by the table. Didn’t realize it moved. We just wanted to graze and ordered 3 appetizers, Pretzel bites were good, nachos with chicken were unremarkable and...a little cold, salsa tasted sweet and homemade ranch was more like a thick dip, and chicken lettuce wraps, which they came out hot. This is a typical downtown bar with food. Patrons at the bar tables were loud and language was sometimes vulgar. But it is a tavern. Would not go back there again, primarily because of the bar and the ambience, but someone reading this might like this type.More
Frustrating experience. Arrived to pick up order and our order was incomplete, then stood there and waited an additional 40 minutes for them to make it while repeatedly being told it was ready and would be out any minute. The food itself is traditional pub...fare. Nothing special. Wouldn't recommend and will not return.More
Stopped by for lunch, had heard about the restaurant and since we were in the area we tried their food. The restaurant is a tavern with a decent food selection. The front door had a sign face mask required. Inside the seating was social distances....The restaurant is locationed in old downtown Sunbury. I ordered their pork tenderloin with a couple of onions under cedar cheese with BBQ sauce, it comes with Kindle potatoe chips and coleslaw. My wife had their hamburger with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and bacon. Both of our sandwiches were very good as were the chips. The wife's hamburger was very thick and cooked as she had requested. Our server was very friendly and provided us with a pitcher of coke but still checked on us. The restaurant has 2 inside dining areas the one upfront has a bar on one side and tables on the other. The other inside dinning area is located in the back and they are divided by a wall and restrooms. They also have an outside dinning area off the back side. The tavern has declarations of several Fire Department pictures and items including turnout gear (firefighter hats, fire coats, trousers and boots. Along with fire items they have insignias on the tables for all branches of the military service along with fire and police. On the ceiling they have military flags displayed. On the front windows they have a fire flag and police flag decals.More
What a great hidden gem in Sunbury. We love coming here for drinks and dinner. Friendly staff and we highly recommend.
It's a great local restaurant with good food and drinks. The only downside is it's loud because it's always been busy when I have eaten there.
We love the food at Joe’s Firehouse Tavern and love supporting local businesses. Fun atmosphere when dining in and also great carry out... wings are fantastic as are the burgers!nice variety on menu... love their homemade salad dressings, too!
I had an excellent lunch experience recently. The bartender was very friendly and provided advice on my order. I had chicken tenders and they were very good. The draft beer selection is quite nice with a rotating specal for just $4.00. I will definitely stop...back when I'm in the area. The decor was firehouse, fireman related and interestingMore
