After a bad experience at The Glasshouse down the road. The Olive did not dissapoint. Great food, Great service. And to top it off, Monday to Wednesday, after 5.00 pm there is 50% off food

Booked for Sunday lunch before we travelled back to Kent, Karen was our waitress and she was amazing, very welcoming, warm and catered to our every need, the roast was bang on, huge Yorkshire Puddings, and offered extra veg, tatties & gravy at no extra...cost. Just been here for a lunch with our child, the place is tastefully decorated and clean and the food was beautiful (compliments to the chef) my son had burger I had a Sunday lunch and my husband had crocodile! However the lunch was totally ruined...by a young waitress who came out of the kitchen swearing 🤬 she then proceeded to sit at 3 different tables having a good old chinwag and totally ignoring Diners, while we waited 20 mins for her to come clear our table ( it never was cleared) we were going to go to the bar and order desert as we had been waiting ages for her to come over to us but the sight of her stood talking at the bar picking her nose put us off and we went to the bar and paid our bill and left(table still uncleared) there wasn't many in at all so god help them when it's packedMore

We celebrated our daughters 18th birthday with a family meal, The Olive was a great choice, we had a private area and received excellent friendly service from start to finish, the food was delicious, and great value for money.

First time I've ever been here and I will definitely come back. My friend and I came here on the 1st November for something to eat. We were greeted by a lovely waitress who served us. I had steak and my friend had a burger...and both meals were cooked to perfection. Fantastic food. So we tried a dessert too. I had banoffee pie and my friend had brownies. Another visit to Yorkshire and home from home at The Olive,we have been coming here for about 7 years a few times a year, Every single time they are so good to us,The food we had was gorgeous, i had fish my sister had a...burger, we didnt need to eat the next day as we were still quite full,lol, Ben, what can I say about Ben, he is the sweetest kindest man , always helpful and puts himself out to make sure all is good, They have new barstaff and the young girl who was being shown the ropes was just wonderful, a sweet little thing but boy did she work, served everyone drinls and also manned the food area, asked if all was ok etc etc, she is a diamond and will be a great member of the team when shes left on her own Im sure.We will of course be back sometime soon and that goes without a doubt, its perfect.More
