Not sure if it's the norm, but the morning we were there for breakfast they were super busy and very understaffed! I almost wanted to get up and help in the kitchen. the food was delicious though and the waitress was apologetic for sure.

The staff here are amazingly friendly. Food is quick and filling. It was nice, but not the best I've had. But it's a friendly comfortable place to eat.

Reasonably priced breakfast. The two egg breakfast is $6.99, the sausage and egg breakfast is $7.99. Coffee is $1.50. The eggs were cooked perfectly - over easy and over medium, as we ordered them. I only wish the home fries had some regular or green onions, rather than just potatoes (not even any spices). Heading South look for the blue... More

We went here when we couldn't get into Mattie's Pancake House. That place is crazy busy. We got in right away but they were turning other ppl away because the kitchen was overwhelmed. Even when tables we open or were about to be open. I got the chicken fried steak and eggs. I'd give it 3 out of 5. I'd... More

We arrived after the lunch rush and the service was pretty slow. There was only 3 tables that had people and 2 waitresses. The food was very good. The clam chowder was excellent. Also the bathroom had no soap. Luckily I have hand wipes.

My family came here for breakfast. We were warmly greeted by our waitress. The restaurant is older and quite oddly set up so I wasn't expecting much from the food but was pleasantly surprised with my omelette. The food was quite good. This appears to be popular with the locals with its simple down home style cooking. If you like... More

It was a Sunday at brunch, and place was packed. It seemed rather chaotic. Waitress was frazzled but nice, and hot the order in after a wait. Longer wait fir food, but when it came was good, hot, and decent portions. I had a breakfast, with good hash browns, tasty omelet. My cousin had fish and chips which was good.... More

I've been unimpressed with other breakfast spots in Brookings, but we got a warm welcome here. The quality and amount of food for breakfast was more than ample.
