My daughter and I were traveling from Wyoming to Oregon. We were looking for a meal and a restroom. I read the reviews on here and they seemed promising enough that we stopped. Oh My Goodness!!! The burger was delicious with some of the freshest...lettuce, pickle and tomato. The fries were excellent and the owners including their son and a local gentleman were some of the nicest people we met on our trip. Don't let the size of the town fool you. These burgers are the bomb! We'll be stopping again on the way home.More
Burgers and breakfast are delicious. Everything made with fresh ingredients. Tia shredds the potatoes when you place your order and serves hand cut fries. The burger is so big I now order to go in a box. If your looking for fast, this place is...not for you. Please do not post a bad review because you have to wait for fresh not frozen microwaved food. I have not heard 1 person complain about their meal or send anything back when I have been there. In fact there was a child there on Sunday that told everyone who walked in and everyone in the cafe that his grilled cheese was the best he has ever had, even told his brothers you have to taste this it's so delicious. It's worth the stop, sit back relax and enjoy, they are friendly and treat you like family. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.More
When I saw this roadside cafe, I thought, why not? Owner was out for the day, but her father was minding the counter. Burgers was the order of the day (if only because I don’t think he knew where the other ingredients were). 1/2 lb...local angus beef burgers cooked perfectly. My photo doesn’t do it justice at all. All high quality ingredients and a surprise win for the day. Small grocery alcove for other essentials one may need for the road. While we were there, couple of travelers came in desperate for gasoline. Everyone was super friendly and pitched in gas to get them back on their way. Like, literally siphoned the gas out of their own tanks! I recommend stopping by and lending your support. Tips go to school trips for the kids across the road.More
We visited the Brothers Stage Stop to celebrate my husband's birthday. Since our last name is Brothers I thought it only appropriate. His sister, also a Brothers joined us for a surprise visit. (His parents were Brothers ... as were his grandparents ...) The menu...was 'just' hamburgers and they were perfectly done as were the fries! Huge portions and delicious. The owner is a hoot - feel free to enjoy his humor. If you are in the area DO stop by! Note especially to women: If you need to use the restroom I suggest you stop at the Brother's Oasis Rest Stop.More
My husband and I are traveling from Florida to the Oregon coast and this was the perfect pitstop. The food and atmosphere was great. I would definitely recommend stopping in.
Bike rider friendly stop on my bicycle tour east. Fed me a generous and hearty breakfast and filled all my water bottles with ice water. Very friendly. Plus had a place to charge my phone. The stop made my day!
very friendly dude serving us (think he was the owners dad??) and the burgers and chips were good. We had a wee bit of a wait for our food. The restrooms look old but they are clean.
I heard about this place from friends that bought a ranch in Millican and thought I'd give it a try. Really glad I did and hear that the truckers call in orders for pickup. Great idea if you're passing through especially since there's limited counter...space and seating. My guest loved the burger so much, she was thinking about ordering another!More
I stopped for coffee on Sunday, March 31, 2019. There were two tables of customers eating a great looking breakfast while watching a Goosebumps movie that the kids were enjoying. The proprietors were friendly and the coffee was hot and not acidy ... just like...good cowboy coffee should be. Take time to stop in and support small businesses when you travel through rural towns.More
not many choices for anything on this road. this appears to be a hole in the wall at best, the burgers were surprisingly huge and delicious here. fries were homemade and undercooked, no paper in toilet. no fountain drinks but bottled were available. menu just...basically burgers.More
New management, great and friendly people. Truckers and local Jeep club hang here. Awesome stopover for some great and large portioned chow. You want a huge plate of chicken fried steak or a burger? Black Angus steak hamburger. 1+ inch thick. As big as your...head. Full sides. Relax, and prepare to chew on that cow ... and chew and chew and chew chew chew. Great little 1912 historical site.More
Worth the stop if you are after a really good home cooked burger and fries. Or just stop in to pick up fresh baked goods, something in the store and learn a little about the local history.
I coasted on fumes in hopes of getting gas, nope! Crap! Then someone else pulled up next to me asking where the nearest gas station was lol. 40 miles to bend and 20 back to Hampton which I passed because it didn't look like it...worked? Anyway friendly people here that's for sure!More
We stopped here, so thankful that something actually existed along this long stretch of highway. It appears that two sisters own this place and it is for sale. One gal was eating at one of the tables and was enjoying her meal. They have some...items in cooler, sodas and some misc items. I wanted desperately to have an iced tea and did not see one in the cooler. I asked if they had iced tea and was pleasantly surprised to find that this place had some of the best iced tea I've ever had. I don't drink it sweet and that's how it comes. Awesome Tea!! Gals behind the counter are sisters and not going to go out of their way to please you but are kind and accommodating if available. This was a surreptitious mirage. Stop if you can!More
