Oysters and crab cakes were terrible. Fish and chips decent enough. Not sure they were halibut as opposed to cod. I would have complained way sooner than I did, but I hardly ever overstep and go against my dad's wishes. He apparently has forgotten how hard he worked for his money to pay for such for poorly cooked food. In... More
Don't be put off by the unpaved parking lot and the overall run-down appearance. Inside you'll find cold beer, delicious meals, and friendly service. I had the turkey melt with some of their yummy salmon chowder. It's very quaint, but with a loyal following. It's tough finding a parking space on Tuesday night's steak special. From any chair there is... More
After several hours in the car, we had bladder issues, and this was the first decent looking stop. It does look like a roadside tavern from the road. We decided to stay for lunch, and were delighted. Marvelous seafood, oysters and prawns, and amazing crisp french fries that melted in my mouth. Service was good, drinks were good. Prices were... More
We were searching for a place to eat and read the reviews. Skeptical, but our food was very very good. Don't be expecting some swirled up swanky place, but our steaks and ribs were very good. I went back a second time.
Went for dinner on reccomendation of a local, casual atmosphere. Service was good, sort of a local place not touristy, prices where fair and the food was great, a bit noisey for me, but a coupl there said wait until later it gets much noiser, so go earlier if you do not like alot of noise, we went at 5:40... Bloody Mary's are $4.50. My husband loved the fried oysters. I had the prime rib hash. They serve margarine and not butter, my toast was cold and not very toasted. This is a place loved by the locals. I would like to come back and try the Tuesday night steak special.
Overpriced bar food. Left hungry. Small portions. Grilled salmon was bland. Prime rib was under cooked. Twice baked potato was tiny. Veggies were average. Clam chowder tasted good, but lacked clams and potatoes. Do not recommend.
