We just stumbled on this bakery on our way to a movie down the street, but we were so happy to have found it. The pastries were amazing. We did not try any food, but were sort of in heaven eating the croissants and baguettes. Wish we would have found it sooner in our trip!

Love this place, but it is so popular you always have to wait. but the wait is worth it. Love their breads. they make a great quiche. The chocolate croissant is a little expensive but it is very well made. Good coffee also.

We were fortunate enough to stay walking distance from Ken's Artisan Bakery. Every morning we got our freshly baked baguette and pastries from Ken's Bakery and it was such a delight! The baguettes were top notch! My friend kept asking "why can't we find baguette like this in LA?" The croissants were fabulous too! Everything from Ken's Bakery was delicious!... More

We stayed in the area to watch a Portland Timbers match and managed to sample a few bars and eateries the night before, so we had a few drinks in bars near this bakery and it looks like a nice place to get some breakfast They had a great selection of pastries, I had some sort of blueberry one which... I gave my husband, a longtime home bread baker, Ken Forkish's book Flour, Water, Salt, Yeast for our anniversary. It has become his bread Bible and has it ever kicked up his bread more than a notch! When we decided to visit the Pacific Northwest, this bakery was our first stop and well worth the trek to get there. The... More

We were on a baker pilgrimage and Ken's was perfect. The savory croissants were to-die-for! And the butter croissant was technically perfect and absolutely delicious! We left with several loaves of bread which kept for days and totally lived up to the hype! A true gem!

The pastries here are the real deal - flaky, buttery croissants, nothing excessively large but everything of very high quality. The almond croissant isn't my favorite in Portland (The Bakeshop on Sandy) but it is very good and maybe more "French". The breads are all good and so authentic.

This bakery is a must when in Portland! I spoke to locals who told me it was the best bakery in Portland! I have to say their bread is out of this World and I can personally recommend the almond croissant - the best I've ever tasted and that includes Paris!!!! Staff were great - the place has a lovely... Menu of the sandwiches & salads aviable written on blackboards on the all. Unbelievable choice of breads. Irresistible selections of cakes & macaroons.

My wife believes I moved the family to Portland because of Ken's. Try the baguette or ciabatta. I plead the fifth. 😀
