A French offers new dishes. I had the Lamb Pitta, not French, but very good. The salad was a lightly coated dressing on fresh greens. I loved the dressing! We went for lunch, the restaurant opens at 12 noon. Celebrating my friend's birthday, at a special place. I don't think you will be disappointed.

This was our second visit and once again we had a wonderful time. The wines are great, food unique and very good. The young women who waited on us ,when I asked her name, said that's not important (she did tell me) what was important was the fact that she wanted people to know that it was casual relaxed good dining place... This place just opened two weeks ago for brunch. What a delight... we had the vegetarian mezza platter and every item was outstanding! The service was also delightful with our server showing knowledge of the menu, just the right pacing and attention but also enthusiasm for the options. He made the most amazing orange blossom ice tea-- perfectly fragrant with... More

Mezza, on SE 54th and Woodstock, has been a delight since opening under new ownership and format. A French flair at quite reasonable prices under guidance of Chef Joris (a French transplant to Portland), using locally sourced ingredients. Reminds me of numerous neighborhood delights in San Francisco of yore. Have visited several times since opening in November. Good for lunch... More

First, please note that this restaurant is under new ownership and is now "Mezza French Bistro," a mix of French and Mediterranean food. (It used to be "Mezza Middle Eastern Cuisine," so those reviews really shouldn't be mixed in with the reviews for the new restaurant.)We have now eaten at Mezza twice, and both meals have been delicious! The interesting... More

The three of us after our movie decided to go to this fairly new French bistro. When we arrived the shaft with his very strong French accent greeted us seated as and as we looked over the lunch menu we had a plethora of questions and he was so gracious to explain everything in beautiful detail we place our order... My son thought it would be nice to eat Lebanese, so off we went. Meeza is a small establishment, but with good service and fine food. It has a nice French side to it, so don't think entirely of a "Middle Eastern" experience. Just come and enjoy.

The food and service were wonderful, we have tried several different items on the menu and have never been disappointed. The lady who owns the business is quite friendly, as are the rest of the staff. Be aware in the winter months, it can be a bit chlly in the restaurant so do wear a sweater or long sleeved shirt.... There are many Lebanese restaurants in Portland. I feel like I've been to them all -- although perhaps I am kidding myself. Today, I met a friend for lunch at this new place (for us) and entered with some amount of skepticism. It's a small restaurant, and the decor somewhat indistinct. But, the food was quite good! We had a... More

Our 3 dishes for 3 people were served with one pita (delicious and fresh, but a bit skimpy for 3 people). The lamb shawarma and lamb kabob were both tough; perhaps other meats would be a better choice. The rice was fluffy and tasty, but the baba ganoush and hummus were rather bland. And when we paid by credit card,... More
