Wife and I had heard about this place, and had to find it.
Small & unassuming, the place was mostly decorated with its own merchandise. There were some quirky donut designs to be sure, but many were out when we visited. I got the “O...More
I came here after all the buzz about Voodoo being Portland’s major food landmark. The inside was really cool, a punk like aesthetic. I got the maple bacon bar which was amazing, but their fruit loops bar was stable, barely edible. I’m still glad I...More
Love the voodoo donut it is my very favorite donut. It is very busy all the time so give your self enough time to get through the line. You have to get coffee as well to help out with the sweetness of the donuts.

You can rely on them to mix things up if you like. Otherwise pick something for the recipient's personality. If they like Elvis, get the Elvis. If they are into breakfast cereals, get the one covered in fruit loops. I personally stick with the basics here like old fashioned and cakes. Blue Star is at the airport if you want less bling and more edge in your flavor than on top. Blue Star won't save you any money though, that's for sure.
If you are feeling especially kind take a small half or full dozen to the plane crew if you are flying back.
