From the moment we sat at our table we were welcomed. The food was fantastic. They serve you a family style meal that had something for everyone and we had lots of it. We were entertained by a belly dancer. Fun night!

We visited Al-Amir with friends, who suggested that we allow our server, who happened to be a co-owner, to bring us, at her discretion, a series of dishes, which included a salad, appetizers (including hummus, falafel, stuffed grape leaves [meat and vegetarian]), two main courses and a plate of roasted vegetables. It was as if we enjoyed every item on... More

Al Amir has been delivering for decades, and I was so happy to see that their star has not diminished over the years. I recently had a craving for my vegetarian favorites, ful mudammes and khudar, that just could not be filled anywhere else. My only regret was not having enough room to order another dish also. All around, a... More

We had a wonderful dinner at Al Amir! The owners were so welcoming, the food delicious and the Lebanese cocktail was amazing. Would definitely recommend the restaurant.

My mom and I went to Al Amir before going to the Keller Auditorium. We had the appetizer plate and grilled shrimp. They have the most pleasant staff, who are very courteous and attentive. The food was so delicious! They have THE best Hummus and Baba Ganooj (sp?). I found out they sell their own brand at Whole Foods too!... More

My relatives recently had a group of 15 at this restaurant and from the minute we walked in we were well taken care of. The owner recommended for our size we just do chefs chice family style which I think is a standard menu they do for large groups. It was amazing. From the hummus, baba ganoush, flafel, tabouli starters,... More

My family came here on a recommendation and absolutely loved it! The potions are huge and the food was spectacular. The owner is such a nice lady and she has owned the restaurant for 28 years! On the weekends they have belly dancers as well. If you are in the area it's definitely worth it!

Where to start? Friendly from the get go. A Saturday night without a reservation in this wonderful place. Staff who know exactly how to treat customers. Great Lebanese wine and plenty well cooked and presented Lebanese food at great price. All topped off with belly dancing. Well done Al-Amir. Well done Portland.

We booked the restaurant at 24 gours notice for a group of 25 colleegues from around the world in town for a meeting. The owner/manage could not be more helpful and hospitable. We had a feast of many course, a true meze coveing all the of the main typical Lenabes dishes for a very modest $25 USD. The red Lebanese... More

Party of 6 seated promptly and server took drink orders. He suggested that he bring us the meal family style which included many different dishes ranging from appetizers to entrees to deserts. Very ample quantity and all was excellent. .
