I can't say enough good things about this place. it's charming and romantic. the food is hands down the best around. The country country fried chicken is so good that my grandmother in heaven was probably drooling over it. The carrot cake was easily the best I have had and the largest slice I have seen.

We have eaten here many times throughout the years! We usually come for breakfast and have had Mother's Day celebrations here 3 or 4 times. The food is delicious! Fresh, local ingredients and so thoughtfully prepared! Very busy, make reservations if you can.

This place has lots of style, great, friendly staff and a unique layout. The breakfast special was a fantastic omellete with roasted potatoes and toast. The potatoes were a wonderful blend of butter and garlic. The two negativse were a six dollar glass of orange juice (seriously?!) and a child's size serving of potatoes--they were delicious, but there should have... More

This place was absolutely perfect! We came here for brunch of course and it didn't disappoint. The service was great, food was awesome and the environment was perfect. Parking lot across the street made getting in and out easy. Really enjoyed this one, highly recommend.

Perfect spot for breakfast or lunch can get very crowded especially on weekends expect to wait. But excellent food and plenty of it. Lots of variety sure to please even the pickiest eaters.

I love this place, the food, the atmosphere and the friendly wait staff make for a yummy dining experience. I was on jury duty after Thanksgiving and I three of my fellow jurrors and I went to Mother's. I had the Mac-n-cheese special with prosciutto and gruyere, so good! I've always been pleased with the food here and I love... More

You cannot go to Portland and not go to Mother's. I have been to Portland twice with my friends and both times I have been to Mother's. The place is so homey and is always busy. I love the eccentric decor and the food is so good.

Based on the description I received, I was expecting more of a diner... It was a nice restaurant with comparable prices. The menu was good with variety, and the food we ordered was well prepared and tasted very good. The service was friendly.

We missed the lines by going later in the morning. She had the stuffed frittata and I had the smoked salmon scramble. The service was wonderful. With two cups of coffee the bill was 27.00. A bit expensive but served piping hot and quite good. This is in a sketchy location but we had no problem parking or with the... More
