Never had Venezuelan food and my and I really enjoyed it. Large, tasty portions. We will definitely return!

My wife and I shared two meals - the chicken and rice and plantain, and the shredded beef dinner. They were amazing! Best meal I've had in Portland so far! And the flan for dessert was great too! Redbridge too!

We wanted to try food we had not had before. So glad we did! There were seven of us, and although this is a small hole-in-the-wall type restaurant, it is bright and cheerful and did not feel crowded at all. The staff were very efficient and helpful. The food flavors were new to us and we really like it. The... More

Very simple decor because all of their energy goes into their amazing food! We were looking for a dog friendly establishment fairly early on a Sunday and this was the closest to us. The owner served us and provided excellent guidance on meal choices. We settled on a Colombian Arepa for an appetizer and Ajiaco for the meal. Both were... More

Imagine home cooked food, with no pretense of hipness or undue expense. Mama Leo's delivers high quality, fresh, and simple Columbian food. It's the kind of food that feeds your mouth and your soul. Nothing fancy; just plain good.

We enjoyed a nice and very inexpensive dinner here today. I had the beef in gravy and my wife had shredded beef with beans and rice. Venezuelan food: similar to Mexican but without the salsas. When we asked for salsa we received a small dish of tasty sauce. Tons of gluten free since they use corn and plantains.

Arrived in Portland hungry and needing to kill some time before checking into our Vancouver, WA hotel. Looking for something different we chanced upon this storefront restaurant called Mama Leo's. What a find! This restaurant provides a great introduction to Columbian and Venezuelan food - very different from Mexican and very delish. So many things on the menu sounded good... More

We tried Mama Leo's for the first time and were not disappointed! This place is a wonderful little gem with super friendly service! The food is delicious and beautifully presented. There were 4 of us and we each had a different dish. Everything was great. Highly recommend the coconut rice!

Met some friends for lunch after reading favorable reviews for this restaurant. We ordered an appetizer and lunch entrees. Our meal came and we were puzzled as to where the appetizer was? The server had forgot to place that order, so we ate appetizers last. Our waters were not refreshed even once during our meat. Food was good, but not... More

i am wheat free and the colleague I am visiting in Oregon is coeliac. He found us the perfect place. This is a corn-based and entirely GF restaurant but don't let that put you off if you are free from dietary restrictions! The Colombian food is tasty but also light, and the range of flavours was great fun. Lovely people... More
