This place seems to be a romantic spot but it isn't that much. The service was not that friendly but the food was great.

A party of 9 of us had a prearranged dinner with a fixed price, $650. The food was decent enough, but nothing stellar. The agreed upon dessert selections were changed at the last minute. The price included no wine. We did buy some wine from the list which pushed the bill close to $800. I know wine and know how... More

My girlfriend and I went to Meriwether's for an early Valentine's dinner. The atmosphere was very nice and quiet. The Scallops that we each had were delicious. However, the meal was small and expensive (3 scallops for $39). A very small salad was extra and expensive as well, and the margarita I had was nothing special. Be prepared to easily... More

We were given a generous gift certificate to this great restaurant. Not sure how they chose it, but am happy they did. We had a group of six. The food was amazing, drinks were good, waiter was attentive. They accommodate our vegetarian and vegans. Portions were not large and prices were very high. It didn't seem that way until the... Multiple levels and rooms to this restaurant. I walked over from the HIE on a rainy evening and sat at the bar. It took a while for a hostess so I gave up and just sat at the bar. Service is slow. Squash arancini were very flavorful, the gougere balls flaky and creamy inside, and the smoked trout on blini... More

We came here based on a friend's recommendation but it was a total flop. The service was absent-minded, the food uninspired and the prices out of touch with reality. I will take ten taco truck visits for the value received tonight for two! And we had drinks! So sorry - avoid this place!

Meriwether's is pricey, but when you want excellent food and service it is a terrific place to dine! I had the sirloin, my wife the trout. Both prepared perfectly. My starter was the mushroom risotto, which is some of THE BEST I have ever had, and I love risotto and order it often. Michael our server was terrific. Everything was... More

This January I ate at Meriweathers twice. My daughter and son-in-law joined me for dinner one night. The service, food and ambiance was perfect. We enjoyed apps, drinks and entrees of pasta, fish and pork. Then I came to Meriweathers for lunch with my four friends, and had another fine dining, fun experience. Trevor, our waiter/bartender did an excellent job.... More

I've now eaten at this lovely joint twice. Once for dinner with my children and the other for brunch with my man. All of the food has been wonderful. Their vegetables are top notch and excellently prepared. I especially like the salads. One awesome thing about Meriwether's is their children's menu. It doesn't just have the usual stuff on it... We went for lunch with out of town company. Two ordered salads, one the reuben and I got the vegetable soup. It was a large bowl of soup with a big piece of bread so was plenty for me. The reuben was huge, very delicious and very messy - definitely the best value on the menu. Both salads were very... More
