Yeah, we're coffee experts here in the NW. You can tell a GREAT coffee place by how they make either a Macchiato, or a Cortado. Albina Press is consistently good for both. I stop by every Sunday after Church.

I loved sitting outside with my dogs, enjoying a very good macchiato, which was nicely prepared by the man at the espresso machine.

Hate being forced to have your coffee where some overbearing guy next to you talks about nonsense to his unfortunate buddy? It can still happen here, but the space is laid out well enough that there are a lot of nooks and crannies to hide in to escape insensitive types. It still does get crowded and noisy, but if you... Saw this place mentioned as one of the more notable Portland coffee shops so we made a point of visiting on a sleepy Sunday morning. Really wasn’t overly impressed. The environment was a bit college-dorm-room-like with lots of electrical tape patching the end room seating together, floors beat up, wires and screws hanging out. You could say it’s definitely comfortable... More

Locals in Mt. Tabor Park recommended that we head towards Hawthorne. That's when we stumbled upon this coffee shop and the iced coffees really hit the mark. I can see why this would be a great hangout. It's very spacious and offers several areas to gather with friends or just settle into work. Very cool artwork throughout and the wi-if... More

One of my favorite Stumptown pulls in PDX... I'D LOVE TO SEE A BIT MORE FOOD OPTIONS. But I get it that they like to focus on the beans...

We just tried this place and really enjoyed the iced coffee. One of those oaky-ish flavors with a nice aftertaste. The service was friendly and quick. There was a ton of seating and everyone was studying, etc. We also had pastries (day old) and they were great. Overall, very good experience.

At the foot of Mt Tabor, this location is spectacular in term of space. Castle style bar and isles, comfortable seating, great art. But how is the coffee? For being stumptown it is quite good but I feel that it is time to step up to some of the finer local roaster.

Came here for a triple americano-there was no crema on the top of the americano- they gave me the incorrect size-when I asked politely for the right size, they grabbed my cup and quickly poured hot water in it -making it look like light brown water. Such a bummer in a city with great coffee!
