It is overrated - this restaurant is average. It's supposed to be famous for the mushroom soup, but if you head up to 7 Springs, there is a restaurant there called Helen's that is 100 times better.

Excellent meal at BYOB ($3 fee) restaurant with beautiful views of the mountains. I had Out of the Fire's famous mushroom soup, and the salmon salad. Both were delicious! I tasted the lamb lollipops, served over shoe string fries.....so tasty! The restaurant was packed that evening. Service was a little slow due to the large crowd but I would definitely... More

A food tour guide in Pittsburg recommended this place, so coming back from Fallingwater we decided to stop for lunch. Setting of the restaurant was very nice with large picture windows overlooking rolling hills. Food was fabulous, and so was the service. Highly recommend the cream of mushroom. Really, really good. Would definitely go back if in the area again.

Where in hell is Donegal, PA anyway and what's a four plus star gourmet restaurant doing there? The #3 restaurant is the Dairy Queen and McDonalds is in the top five. The last census counted less than 300 souls. The first question is easy: it's at exit 91 on the PA Turnpike. Anything else there? Yeah, a mountain, snow, and... More

We stopped here for lunch on our way home from Cleveland after thanksgiving. We had stopped here a few years ago as a respite from snowy road conditions on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. I was delighted to find gluten-free options on the menu. The roasted chicken sandwich with bacon, portabella mushrooms, lettuce and tomato on a gluten-free bun allowed me dive... More

Although staying at Nemacolin, or friends did their usual foodie research and suggested taking the modest drive here for dinner. A great choice, excellent food and good service. Be Aware:. It is BYOB; the closest wine is at Sarnelli's market which is close by but limited selection. Pricey but also on par with any high end restaurant, I would say... More

I have heard great things about Out of the Fire Cafe and decided to try it when in the area. It has a nice atmosphere and nice people. We decided to eat inside even though the beautiful Fall day was warm enough to be able to eat on the deck. We both decided on a chicken sandwich served on a toasted... More

Our server was amiable and yet professional. The food was well prepared and attractively presented, and we didn't have to wait long for delivery. A special request was not only happily accommodated, we got the feeling they are encouraged. The ambiance is an odd mix of trendy dishes, steakhouse flatware, cool lighting, and log-cabin tables and chairs. We found it... More

Heard great reviews so my wife and I stopped in on our way down the pike. Mushroom soup was outstanding. We purchased some to take home. The food tasted very good. I had the Balsamic & Rosemary Marinated Flat Iron. When I tasted it it was barely warm. The waiter asked so I commented it would taste better if the... More
