We went to Marblehead to celebrate our 49th anniversary. Our dinners were so good! I had crab cakes and they were all crab meat - only enough filler to hold them together! The staff,as usual, was so pleasant and attentive. Marblehead is our "go to" place for celebrations. We've never had a bad experience, and we've been going there for... More

We have held Business Christmas dinner parties and family gatherings at Marblehead. The private room is a nice size for about 25 people. The food is always great and the staff is always very attentive!

I visited this restaurant for a late lunch. The restaurant was very busy. I was seated at a table in the bar area and my server was Donna, the bartender. She was very pleasant and efficient despite being extremely busy. I had lobster bisque as an appetizer which was very good. I had fish and chips for my meal. The... More

We've recently returned to this area and a friend suggested that we visit during the local restaurant week promo. We each chose the $30 prix fixe menu, but a variety of dishes. All of us were very satisfied with our courses and none of us could finish them-we left with a grocery bag size of leftovers, as many others seemed... More

We had heard that the Marblehead Chowder House was great for seafood and today we were in the area so we stopped in for lunch. Although our initial idea was chowder as the weather was cold, the seafood Cobb salad caught our eye and after an appetizer of calamari it fit the bill. The salad had grilled salmon and shrimp... I have now been to the Marblehead Chowder House on four separate occasions. The fir time was with the Vice President of my company when he was in town. Thank you for making me look good with the selection. The other times were with my family and they loved it. The seafood is always fresh and the staff extremely friendly.... More

This was one of those "stick a pin on a map" trips. OK. Easton PA - looks interesting and full of great history and a nice walking town (too bad it snowed and was 8 degrees out). But this place made it all worth it. I thought the seafood was fresh down south...this place has clams brought in special (The... More

Choose Marblehead as it was on the way to the Sands Casino. Service was on point and friendly. My family enjoys seafood, but we are always skeptical about seafood when we are so far inland. We all had some type of seafood entree and all were very good. Winner! My only not so favorable feedback would be the openness of... More

To make reservations, please visit us on Open Table! Founded in 1996 the ideas for the Marblehead Chowder House were actually hatched a few years before. Sitting at "The Barnacle," overlooking Marblehead Harbor one raw winter day, while the spume from the rough saltwater painted the windows and the Sam Adams Lager flowed freely, a concept was born. Casual, coastal and cozy - fresh seafood, fin fish, shellfish and hearty chowders in a warm, relaxing atmosphere that says "seaside" - a place that had tradition, patriotism, and a New England heritage about it. Fresh ingredients, house-made soups and chowders, comfort food with a twist freshly prepared to order were all musts! Features unique to New England were the foundation - Ipswich Belly Clams (aka steamers, softshells, pissers), fresh Lobster Roll, a Raw Bar with half-shell oysters and clams and, of course, live Lobsters arriving regularly. Authenticity was crucial - only without the sea breeze, gulls and scent of saltwater. Lighthouses and other nautical decor highlight the ambience to create a coastal dining experience like none other in the greater Lehigh Valley. Our mission is to provide a great place for our employees to work, enabling them to prepare and serve delicious food in a warm, friendly and efficient manner. We want to assure you, our guest, of a memorable visit and encourage you to tell your friends and return often. Your satisfaction is guaranteed or we will make suitable amends.
