Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon after an indoor soccer game. Mid afternoon. Not very busy at all. We were seated quickly and the waitress came over in a reasonable time. She took our order and things seemed great. Brought out a salad and fried...pickle chips. Told us our food would be right out. Food came out and it looked delicious. Asked for ketchup and drink refills. Went a while and she came back with French fries that were part of the order but she didn’t bring them with the rest of the food. Fries came out a while later. Asked again for drink refills. (We snagged ketchup from another table) Came back after a long time with the bill asked if we needed a box. Yes. 1 box and some waters. Oh yeah. Paid the bill by scanning a QR code. Rang up the bill and there was more than a $10 difference between the paper bill and online. Went to the register to make them aware. Graciously refunded the difference in cash. Waitress finally returned with water and a box. They weren’t overwhelmed with customers. Just we’re not attentiveMore

After visiting 2 different locations, in SC, more than once each, I'm totally done. Servers were absentee, standing around ignoring diners, seemingly in another world. (Probably Waffle House- would have been better) Had to get up and search for silverware, napkins, condiments.... last visit -...scrambled eggs were so undercooked they could possibly have still been alive. Cheese was a half slice of processed yuck thrown on top. Not that it it would have melted anyway. Not sure what the sausage really was. Took almost 30 minutes to receive order after waiting nearly 20 minutes to place it. Hash browns were unidentifiable mush. No water refills. I don't think cracker barrel cares much about repeat business anymore. It certainly won't come from me. Absolutely a waste of $16.00 and left a terrible impression.More

While visiting family in the area we decided to have dinner at the Cracker Barrel. We had a large party and after we were all seated we placed our orders. Having had the Southern Fried Chicken at another Cracker Barrel, my decision was easy, have...it again. The chicken was crispy and juicy, the way it should be. The service was very nice also.More

We frequently stop at Cracker Barrel when travelling becasue we know what we are going to get, the quality of the food, fast service and fair pricing. When we stopped here, the restaurant met all of this expectations. The waitress (1226763 Melissa P) was excellent....She was positive, efficient and 100% on the ball...sets an example for others!More

We had to wait a half hour for a table and then when we were seated they put us in the back room which had a terrible smell. It smelled old, musty and nursing home like! The smell was awful. Then the menu is so...cut down that there is few good options. I got a chicken salad and my husband had fried chicken platter. I definitely have had better . It took about 40 minutes for the food to come. The sodas were $2.79 each and it said free refills. HA!. We were never offered any refills. We have been there many times before and I have to say that this was the worst! We definitely will NOT be going back!!!More

We've been stopping at Cracker Barrel for years when we travel. That may have come to an end today. My wife ordered chicken fried chicken, which she has done many times. She couldn't eat it. When the manager came over she explained that corporate had...changed what they offer. This was the second time that this has happened to us and we are not impressed. I had their chief salad, which was ok, not great, not awful. There are plenty of places we can stop while we travel and we might need a substitute for Crack Barrel...More

I had seen the ads about Cracker Barrel's new fried chicken entree, so I ordered it. When the place came piled high with four pieces - breast, thigh, wing, and leg. I didn' expect so much. My two sides were the turnip greens and limas...(available only on certain days). Cornbread or biscuits came with it, all for $9.99. The chicken was served hot, crispy, and tender and seasoned. I liked it but thought the recipe had too much salt and the breading was too heavy. The limas had bacon bits as did the turnip greens - more at this CB than others at which I've dined. CB is always a good value.More

I haven't eaten at a Cracker Barrel in years, but this one was right next door to the hotel where I was staying, and the only other restaurant in the area was McDonald's, so I gave it a try. The menu is mainly comfort foods....I had the boneless fried chicken, and it was excellent. The mashed potatoes were also good, and the salad very fresh. Portion sizes are very large. Meal was very inexpensive for the quantity and quality of food I received.More

The Cracker Barrel, by far and away, is the best place to eat in Schuylkill County. Terrific food quality, outstanding menu options, and very good service. There are many, many small low quality small quality restaurants in the area, so please avoid the headaches and...head straight to Cracker Barrel. Oh, did I mention they have good prices, too?More
