Staff were accommodating when I asked if I could order a salad...on arrival the salad available online was not on the menu. A delicious salad was prepared for me and all the dishes that were ordered by other visitors looked wonderful! My friend ordered the Arancini which seemed to have the consistency of a Spanish croquette...she wasn't keen on the unusual texture but overall a lovely lunch.
Excited to return and try the desserts!

Finally decided it was time to venture out for dinner after 3 weeks of being back at work 6 days a week. Couldn't have chosen a better place. Service was great. Everything felt clean, fresh and comfortable with new tables and chairs, a freshened up menu and plenty of space. We shared olives, cheesy garlic bread and prawns to start then both decided on seabass with more prawns along with a side of garlic roast potatoes and a parmesan rocket salad. All cooked amazingly, especially the sea bass which was the best its ever been. Tasty, flavoursome, well seasoned. Finished off with the new recipe brownie and ice cream. Amazing job Pranzo team!

My boyfriend and I visited Pranzo Italian after a reservation at another restaurant had been cancelled. After I had tried to book lots of other places in Ilkley which told me they had no availability, the staff at Pranzo were very accommodating and managed to fit us in. I am so happy the other table was cancelled now!! The food was incredible, definitely the best Italian in the local area and staff were so attentive and friendly, even with the Covid restrictions in place. The menu is slightly smaller than other Italians in the area but to me this only means higher quality meals - which you can definitely tell from the taste! Can't wait to go back here, thank you so much staff at Pranzo!

Firstly I was disappointed that The menu in the restaurant was different to the menu shown online. I was so looking forward to the dishes I had seen on their website. I ordered the pesto mushroom bruschetta and expected fresh pan fried mushrooms. What arrived was more of a salty mushroom and pesto paste on over toasted bread.
My lasagne was good but the brownie dessert tasted like cheap chocolate. Such a shame as the service is great. Not an average restaurant but could be improved.

Visited here for a birthday treat - pre booked table for 5pm. We were the first ones in the restaurant and the waitress was friendly, personable, chatty - no complaints.
Me and my girlfriend both ordered starters and mains. Food was delicious (King Prawn Linguine was sooooo good). Both ordered the brownie and ice cream for dessert (also delicious), and we both literally said after eating that we were excited to come back. HOWEVER... this is where the problems started.
Upon finishing our desserts, the plates were left on the table for at least 15 mins after we had finished; bearing in mind there were no more than 4 other tables in at this point, and three waitresses. A bit annoying, but not the end of the world, especially seeing as the food was spot on.
Then, the blonde waitress who had initially been really friendly and nice when first serving us, comes over and explains that they are going to need the table back.. as if we were holding them up. Quite rude. Got a bit frustrated at this point, considering we’d been sat staring at dirty plates for nearly 20 minutes, so I made her aware that we’ve been sat there waiting for the plates to be collected. Paid and left immediately.
The service in the last 25 minutes of our visit turned what would have been an amazing experience into a first and last visit. Wont be returning, and genuinely is a shame because the food is delicious.
Sorry to the chefs, because you outdid yourselves. But I can’t rate above 3 because of the bad service at the end.

I dined at Pranzo last night with my friend - it was my first visit though I had been meaning to come for ages as I'd heard excellent things. We sat in the window so we had a nice view and ordered After Eight espresso martini and Limoncello spritz. Both the cocktails were excellently made and tasted great.
We decided to get starters so my friend had the mussels and I had the burrata with beetroot and walnut. Both dishes were incredible - the burrata was so fresh and light, perfect as a starter, and the candied beetroot added a really nice sweetness that complemented the other ingredients well.
For mains, we had the seafood bigoli and lobster ravioli. The waitress explained to us earlier that the kitchen only had enough mussels for one of the dishes but they would add extra seafood to my main - absolutely fine! The seafood came with extra prawns (thank you) and they even brought out a small bowl of the mussels they had left, which was so kind!
The meal was perfect. The seasoning was on point, the seafood beautifully cooked. Honestly, it was incredible and Pranzo has easily become my new favourite Italian in Ilkley.
The service was perfect. The waitresses were attentive and super fun to chat to. My friend and I both commented how impressed we were at how efficiently they ran front of house, it was such a pleasant atmosphere and the service was seamless. I didn't catch the ladies' names but one was wearing green nail polish and the other wore little hoop earrings. Please, Pranzo, let them know how wonderful they were, and the kitchen team for such a lovely evening.
The loos were spotless and had nice soap. The decor in general was modern and I like the plants in the window. We had dessert too, even though we were stuffed, because we wanted to try everything. My friend asked to have hers boxed up, which the staff did, no problem. I think due to a totally unnecessary review on here, the wait staff now make it very clear that there is an optional service charge, but we were more than happy to pay it and in fact having the service charge already added on to the bill was easier for us.
Thank you, Pranzo! We will be back! (And I won't be weird next time I promise 😂)

I recently had a takeaway as I was desperate for my Pranzo fix during lockdown. The pizza kit was a fun activity & very nice. Also ordered a lasagne & asked the guys to put some chilli oil on which I usually do myself in the restaurant which they did for me. Same Pranzo 5 star quality and I cant wait until it's open again fully to sit down and see the fab team there. Good work guys & thank you again for hooking me up with my fave food during lockdown

We ate here on a Saturday afternoon, the food was excellent, one of those meals where you don’t want the experience to end. The staff were courteous and professional and the bill was very reasonable for the delicious food which we were served. When we asked if we could combine two starters to form a main course this was no trouble.
The lobster ravioli was scrumptious as was the Nutella brownie.
If we lived in Ben Rhydding we’d eat here all the time.
Highly recommended!

I was really looking forward to my visit here after hearing such great reviews, I wasn't disappointed! Received a really warm welcome and service was excellent throughout the meal. The portions were extremely generous and my dish of truffle oil ravioli was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go again, thank you for a lovely lunch!

Went tonight for a friend's birthday. We were a group of 8 and were told we needed to pay a £10 deposit, which was fine. We were then told that we had to chose from the Xmas Menu at £29.95 per person. A few queried this as they would be happy with a pasta from the normal Al la Carte menu and no other courses. However we were told this was the only option, so we went with this reluctantly and pre ordered our food. However upon arrival at the restaurant all guests at the restaurant were ordering off the Al a Carte menu. I spoke to the waitress and she said as we were 7 we had to have tge set menu. A few minutes later a table of 7 arrived and ordered off the Al a Carte menu. Immediately I queried this and wax told we could have had this menu. Mixed messages and not happy. We like Pranzo for its pasta, and because of having to have the set menu this was not an option. Very disappointed, will not return or recommend. When we said that a few people only wanted one course, we were told you have to have two courses, just take one home. Not tge service you would expect. Avoid this place no customer service

Hi Pamela, thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback for us. As you'll see from other visitor reviews this does not sound like the usual service Pranzo Ilkley has become known for. If you'd like to discuss your visit further please do not hesitate to contact me at marco@pranzoitalian.co.uk

Possibly… Certainly the warm welcome to this small local Italian bistrot kicks off the evening to a great start. Emily and the rest of the team will take great care of you. You’ll get good wine recommendations to accompany your home made focaccia to soak up some balsamico and olive oil while you peruse the menu. We tried the lobster ravioli in a rich cream sauce as well as the truffle ravioli - both brilliant and substantially filled with choice ingredients. We rounded off with the lemon and pine kernel tart with vanilla ice cream. Subtle and delicious. A hidden gem in the Ben Rhydding area of Ilkley. But keep it under your hat…

Pranzo’s takeaway has been the absolute highlight of our lockdown menu. The spicy sausage cannelloni is mine and my husbands favourite; it is so delicious I actually think about it all day before I order it for us! Thank you to the Pranzo team for continuing to serve us this amazing food and in creating a sense of excitement in some very trying times. Can’t wait to come and see you when you reopen.

Brought our good friends for dinner, asked for extra bread with our starter, told there would be a charge. Main courses took an age to arrive, and one of our party ordered a spicy sausage and spinach cannelloni. The said cannelloni arrived with no spinach and no discernible spicy sausage, only to be told everything was blended together, this appeared to be a lasagna. No apology, but would we like some more wine. No thank you, very disappointed and rather embarrassed as we had recommended you.. Staff would rather argue than correct the issues. Such a shame

Pranzo Italian
Dear Fiona
We’re very disappointed to read this review and we feel we need to clarify the facts on the evening of your visit;
- We were (as you will have noticed) extremely busy that evening.
- We were short staffed that evening as, in common knowledge, most businesses currently are in the hospitality industry.
- Having now checked the CCTV, you waited exactly 31 minutes between starters and main courses.
- The cannelloni you ordered was in fact a cannelloni - the filling must be chopped and combined in order to fill the pasta tubes.
- After you had eaten your main courses your partner then came to the bar and chose to use vile, extremely offensive and upsetting language towards a member of our team, who called me in floods of tears to explain the situation.
The one thing we will NEVER tolerate in our restaurants is customers being abusive to our staff. Therefore with this and your partner’s threat to actively attempt to ruin the reputation of our business, you leave us with no choice but to inform you that you and your partner are no longer welcome in either of our existing or future restaurants again.
Regards,
The Pranzo Team

This is a very nice Italian restaurant situated in Ben Rhydding , a fifteen minute walk from the centre of Ilkley.
The menu is varied and reasonably priced for the area.
We stopped and sat outside and enjoyed two superb coffees, one Cappuccino and a Flat White, with two complimentary glasses of water, which were appreciated on a hot day.
We were very well looked after by Sophie and will be calling back to eat soon as the food looked very good.
