About
Think Salisbury and youll think Solstice not the mid-summer phenomenon beloved of druids but the super chic Bar and Grill at Amesburys uber-modern Holiday Inn hotel. Situated only moments from the world famous site of Stonehenge, Solstice is glamorously modern, its sleek interior anything but pre-historic. One wall is shot through with a blaze of glass, providing countryside views in the day and inky black reflections at night, while the rest of the room is bright and spacious, furnished in monochrome and lit by low-hanging chrome lamps. Despite its futuristic styling the atmosphere of the restaurant is cosy and welcoming, thanks in no small part to the professional and friendly staff

The bar and seating is large and no criticism can be levelled at this venue. It is perfect for company meetings to include a fabulous lunch with extensive menu and quality food.

Food was reasonable, however the service and the drinks service in particular was inattentive and slow. As said the drinks service was atrocious, I was waiting so long for my pint at the table, I ended up going to the bar myself, to be informed...More

The food, whilst tasty, was obviously under a heat lamp for too long as the small tortellini were hard around the edge of the plate whilst the large central piece had been microwaved until the centre was almost scalding. The service was absolutely fine and...More
