Selected this from reviews on Google. We were not at all disappointed, the food was first class and the service very attentive. The pub itself is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It was quiet when we were there but that added to the enjoyment. We...were so impressed that we are going back for Sunday lunch. Would highly recommendMore

I found this place on google maps. It’s a remote place but wow, it’s absolutely stunning. The staff were very polite and couldn’t be more helpful. The seating area is all compliant with the in date COVID restrictions and your safety is their main concern....The food was to die for, don’t be fooled by their speedy service as the meals were well sized and definitely value for money. A splendid venue with a 5* rating from us. We will be returning. Thank you very much.More

Lovely place, friendly staff and good food, however we were very disappointed with the offering of vegetables for our traditional Christmas turkey. We got sprouts (fine), broad beans and kale! No Carrots, no peas, no brocoli or anything traditional. No red cabbage. We asked the...waitress if we could have some carrots but were told we couldn't. Seems the pub didn't have any. Hhmmm. We were in 2 minds to ask for a discount. I hope they decide to go back to more traditional veg. Such a shame as we had a lovely night, it was just a big let down and we could not understand why they would offer such weird veg that no one really enjoyed.More

In view of the supply chain problems as vegetarians we were not expecting much, but the menu here we were spoilt for choice and we were told we could make adjustments to the meals if we needed. The mains were excellent and reasonably priced the...Bailey's creme brulé was to die for. The staff were very good , attentive but not pushy. A wonderful experience all roundMore

One of our favourite places to eat. We have never been disappointed and last night was no different. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was faultless. My only slightly negative comment I would make was that the wine was expensive but...maybe I am out of touch!More

Although Covid safety measures are still in place (wisely) we liked the fact that the Millstream dining room is spacious and airy. We had a most enjoyable and delicious lunch served by friendly and attentive staff. Definitely a cut above most pub food.

We turned up without a booking and were lucky enough to get a table for two. The staff were welcoming, friendly, efficient and helpful. The food was delicious, the portions were a good size and it was reasonably priced. The decor, fixtures and fittings are...just right for a country pub. I would thoroughly recommend a visit for a meal, but book ahead to avoid disappointment.More

This was an early evening meal eaten outside as the weather was very pleasant (for once this summer) and to avoid Covid complications. We had booked a table as I was staying locally with a friend and this was a treat for another friend's Birthday....I am shocked that there seemed to be some poor reviews as this was quite simply one of the best meals I have eaten this year, the staff were friendly and courteous.. The menu wide ranging and everything that we had was cooked to perfection.. I've heard a lot about cheese soufflé but never eaten one before and it was simply wonderful. The Dauphinois was absolutely scrumptious and the whole meal was a delight. The duck and plum sauce was very good to my taste. On a previous visit I had the Chicken which was again absolutely wonderful with a sauce packed with flavour. Thank you all.. I will be visiting again when I am next down and hoping to support you after the most dreadful 18 months for the restaurant and pub industry.More

Area and pub ok and although older world pub needed a clean on windows and shelves univited spiders and flies /dust. Place mats needed updating old and worn as was the cutlery. Glasses were not clean and sparkly. We had a sunday lunch and thought...this was going to be a home cooked roast dinner. However the Beef was definately from pre cooked trays and not carved that day, the gravy dark thick and really salty already on the plate and swamped everything Mash was ok again a bit salty and peppery, the roast potatoes were well over done and greasy with only 4 very small ones on plate covered in gravy. The vegetables were overcooked and mixed in one dish. (Sprouts, runners carrots and tinned sweetcorn) The dish of Broccoli in cheese sauce was so overdone and yet the cheese was not melted in dish. So disappointed. We had a desert but nothing to write home about. Shop bought taste. A few changes could make thiis a fantastic family place. However left disappointed.More
