My wife & I called in after a Wadworth brewery tour, just down the road. Unimposing frontage, but well decorated interior which goes back a long way and leads into a courtyard garden and a gate into the Wharf public car park. Staff were friendly and helpful, and we had a lovely lunch of a small plate of chicken pieces... More

Lovely meal on Easter Sunday, truly delicious roast lamb & all the trimmings. Hubby gave steak and ale pie 10/10.

Regarded as one of the best pub food venues in Devizes and unlike so many the pie is real, not a casserole with a silly flap.

I visited The Crown for the first time on the 4th March 2017 on my daughter's recommendation. We had a really lovely lunch, my wife, daughter, son in law and grand-daughter. My grand-daughter is Coeliac and my daughter prefer to eat a G F diet, so both were well catered for. I chose to have 4 starters as my meal,... More

We went to the Crown for an early evening meal. Three adults and three children. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service friendly. I was particularly happy to be able to order a small plate as I have a small appetite. Excellent Wiltshire ham, egg and chips. Wouldn't hesitate to go there again.

We had lunch here last Sunday. There was plenty of parking in the attached public car park and outdoor seating for those brave enough. We sat inside and it was a nice interior, just very crowded and noisy. Service was efficient and friendly and the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Portions were not large but they were... This was a treat for my birthday, just a small group including my young granddaughter. The Crown was recommended after we had mentioned to friends our plan to book elsewhere! It was a very cold day so it was good to see an open fire (albeit imitation but very welcoming nonetheless). The staff were friendly and helpful and it was... More
