We have been to the Radnor Arms half a dozen times and the food is always really good, home cooked and fresh, especially the gravy … !!!
Service is great, friendly staff and a very homely and welcoming pub/restaurant.
The only gripe was being told we couldn’t have a little more custard on the treacle sponge pudding unless we paid for it and it was a little dry as a result - I did ask for extra custard on ordering.
That said, we’ll certainly be back and would recommend the Radnor Arms for it’s Sunday roast dinners

It's great to hear how much you enjoy our Sunday Lunch, Thank you.
I'm really sorry you weren't happy with the extra charge when you asked for more custard. We have had to put a standard rule in place when extra's items are asked for that these do incur an additional charge, as our portion sizes are quite generous.
Previously we did used to send extra items out without charging, however during a service this could amount to lot's of extras being sent without being accounted for. Sadly with the increased cost of food and energy every little thing has be accounted for.
Thank you again for your comments and we look forward to welcoming you back. Paula

Stayed here as a halfway resting point on way home from Cornwall. Lovely comfortable room, warm and cosy, bathroom well equipped… Staff very helpful and as we weren’t sure of our arrival time we were offered mobile number so we could order food before kitchen closed… but in the end we arrived in good time and were able to order from full menu and eat in the restaurant which had a fire lit for warmth and comfort…
Food was extremely delicious… I had slow roasted lamb with mint gravy, vegetables and mash…and my partner had full rack of ribs… delicious red wine and friendly staff. Great night sleep in comfortable accommodation. Would definitely stay here again.

What an AMAZING Christmas Day Meal. The atmosphere, the service….. THE FOOD. A 10 out of 10 from all of us. Everything home cooked, the flavours…. Wow. The portion sizes so generous. I could go on, the rich gravy, the tenderness of the meat, never had a roast dinner in a restaurant that was that good! There were 8 of us on a lovely round table, it felt so homely. There was not one negative from any of us. Same again next year please! SUPERB.

First time coming, and definitely our last!
Young lady who served us was great, told us the kitchen had made a big error on our order before it came to the table- well done for that!
However, the burgers were atrocious... cheap meat that bent, cheap cheese that comes in a macky D's and not even acknowledged from management.
To the lady that rectified our bill, you need to learn customer service and accept when you are wrong. Taking £8.50 off our bill when we shouldn't of paid the full £42 for the crap you served!

We have a strong food following from all walks of life, most repeat business, the menu is a balance of homemade, local butcher meats, but also more readily/served more affordable faster-foods, for example the Bacon Double Cheese Burger being one of them. That said even that has 80% beef char-grilled 4 oz American style burger, thick cut butcher Bacon and the customary cheesy slices one expects even with additional options for real cheeses such as mature cheddar, and Brie.
Yes, a mistake was made as this burger default comes with the conventional cheese-slices. It was a busy night and it was missed the note that unusually you wanted yours without cheese - so incidentally why you were complaining about the cheese slices confounds me. Needless to say, I apologised for this, and we re-did the meal so regrettable it took a while. You, and your table, were asked after this mistake was rectified, if all was okay with your meals. To which everyone retorted happy. If you’d not been happy, had you said when asked, I would have gladly offered you a replacement meal, and you could have chosen from the wider-range of the more select/up-market homemade dishes as obviously your palette required. Given the tone of your review I feel the need to emphasise that to the most your meals were well-received, plates cleared, this including two other standard Bacon Cheese Burgers; Butcher Rump Steak and a Spicy Vegan Burger. You indeed had also eaten most of your burger I noted: This was why I afforded you the discount of over 50% of your individual meal cost, this because of the delay in service due to confusion pertaining to just your individual meal.

Delicious and good value Sunday lunch with a choice of beef, lamb, pork, chicken and meat-free options. Generous portions with roast potatoes, tasty Yorkshire puddings and stuffing balls, mixed vegetables on the side and a jug of their epic gravy. There's a choice of puddings, if you still have any space left after all this.

First visit to this pub and we weren’t disappointed. Warm welcome and really helpful staff. Great service and good Sunday lunch menu - I would happily eaten any of the dishes on offer, including the vegetarian and vegan options.
I chose turkey, my friend lamb all served with good selection of vegetables and a home made gravy.
One of the best Sunday lunches I’ve ever had. Will definitely be finding an opportunity to return. Thank you.

For £15 this was exceptionally good for Sunday lunch. A good helping of tasty meat, crackling, big Yorkshire pudding, roasts potatoes, roast parsnips, stuffing, apple sauce and a big bowl of veg between the two of us. All beautifully fresh and cooked to perfection. Somehow managed a fruit crumble with custard which was equally good. Nicely set out inside with tables not on top of each other. Very friendly and efficient service. One of the best pub Sunday lunches in a long time and I just felt t was fair on them to come home and write this straight away. I will be back there!

We stayed overnight in the Radnor arms Malmesbury and had a lovely time. The host Paula was friendly and welcoming. Room no. 2 was stylish and comfortable with everything you need. Bed was super comfy. Outside, there was a nice courtyard with plenty of seating including a covered area with a fire pit. The pub was cosy and the home cooked food fabulous 😋 we had the steak and ale pie and lamb shanks with mash, veg and gravy. Very tasty. Would highly recommend this place. Its located close to the old market town of Malmsbury with lots of interesting places to visit. The Abbey and Gardens are lovely with plenty of history to explore. You can pick up a guide and map in the information centre for free. Lots of nice pubs to visit. You are not far from Cirencester which is also a great place to visit.

Old fashioned pub with very friendly staff.
We both order beef Sunday dinner and it was perfect but huge. The beef was so tender and tasty, the gravy was very rich and homemade.
For dessert we had crumble and chocolate brownie it was the best brownie ever so rich and chocolatey.

I brought my dad here for lunch, based on the Trip Adviser reviews. We both had the lamb shank with mash, peas, beans and mint gravy. It was absolutely delicious- my dad said it was the best lamb he’s had for years. Everything tasted absolutely homemade and gorgeous. The beans were al dente and the peas were delicious - little bursts of garden pea flavour. We will definitely be back.

The service is friendly and prompt and the beer delicious. It seem a very nice place to go for a casual evening out with friends, but from the food point of view is fairly standard and probably not worth going a long way out of your way for. We may have gone on an off evening but the two principle items on the menu of potential interest were “off” and the other items were rather dull. We ended up with a very indifferent curry.

First visit her since the early 80s! Obviously ate outdoors due to current restrictions in a cosy garden area. Our table was under a nicely designed Scandinavian kind of open construction with a log fire in the middle , which was very warming. Paula, the landlady, made us very welcome and make our overall experience very enjoyable. Food was very good as was the service. Will definitely be back.

We stopped here for a meal as we were driving past, even though it was Sunday lunchtime we managed to get a table (it’s advisable to book though).
Great hosts and fantastic roast dinners.
I highly recommend the lamb. More food than we could eat and beautifully cooked and served.
We will be going back again.

Cannot express highly enough the superb facilities at this beautiful pub/Hotel. Paula has been just super and accommodating.
The rooms are spacious and spotless. The care and attention to detail is second to none.
Whether you are looking for a room on business or a romantic weekend away, the Radnor would meet your needs and beyond.
I very much look forward to staying again. Thank you to Paula and Andrew for their hospitality and the opportunity to meet their super friendly and utterly adorable dogs.

Booked a table here for dinner as halfway between family and cottage we were staying on first staycation after lockdown. Easy to find (Near M4 but village location), lovely pub grub, good sized portions at good prices, selection of beers and friendly welcome (both for us two leggeds and the four!). It was sadly very quiet as it had just opened a few days previously after lockdown which is heartbreaking so please support this and other establishments or they will disappear. Considering staying there in future (they have rooms) when visiting family. Well worth a visit!
