Popped in on NYE on a whim for lunch. Very nice. Well cooked and presented. Really good service. Was a little pricey for pub grub but not exorbitant. My only moan was the portion size.......I didn't have enough chips with my fish..........

I had a spicy soup for starter with Pork as my main course. Both were very nicely presented and tasted as good as they looked. The restaurant is most comfortable and nicely laid out with a lot of space between tables and was spotlessly clean. We were greeted on arrival and our coats were taken away to be hung up.... More

We visited this pub today with friends and found the menu to be small on choice and small on portion size but keen on price steaks £22 i personally couldnt see that price justified it was just a steak with chunky chips nothing special at all. 9 of us one vegetarian and one vegan. Everyone enjoyed the meal the food was great (fish and chips - the cod was a bit on the small side) However, that was the only negative the other meals were enjoyed. They looked after the vegan very well. Great room for a small group as well.

I driven past this pub many times over the years but I cant recall stopping. This time we wanted to try somewhere different, stopped on Christmas Eve Eve and chanced our luck at getting some food. The restaurant was fully booked but the friendly staff suggested a table in the main bar, lovely setting. Menu was good and the food... More

On a whim the four of us decided to eat out for lunch on Xmas Eve; nothing booked, no inquiring phone calls. A nearby pub flatly refused to take a food order from us! Not even bar food! Dropped in to The Bell and were immediately made to feel very welcome by the friendly staff. Good varied menu, excellently prepared... More

This quality 'pubsterant' being right on the A4 Bath Road is very convenient for the traveller, especially as there is good, easy parking and it's not too distant for the local either. A very pleasant quiet atmosphere with a warm welcome. Our party of four had variously duck liver parfait, beetroot & kale fritters, shrimp with salmon followed by pork,... More
