Nice and quirky and great location. Staff were brilliant and efficient and made you feel welcome. Loved the way you could have three thirds of a pint so instead of dithering about which ale to have, you can try 3 at a time. Hope this idea spreads. £3-60 not too bad either. A little the worse for wear when I... More

My wife and myself spent the day in Budley and went to the mug house Inn for lunch. The food was excellent good service. We really enjoyed it. I think it is one of our favourite places to visit.

We had been recommended The Mug House for a snack and a beer so after a long walk in the environs of Bewdley we headed just a hundred yards or so along the river upstream from the bridge to pay a visit. Our first impressions were very positive - plenty "nice" people enjoying the surroundings of blazing fires, comfortable seating,... More

We had dinner here this week and were a little disappointed. The restaurant was warm and beautifully decorated but the waitress didn't know what lagers or fruit juices they had and rather than finding out for us, my husband had to go to the bar and ask. We then had starters which were disappointing. Three of us had salmon and... More

Open on Boxing Day. "Are dogs allowed in?" "Yes" came the reply. Our souls lifted, what magical words to hear. Water in dog bowls provided too. My dog sat under the table and I don't think anyone noticed she was there. We ordered Mug House sarnies (£4.95 each) plus a portion of chips. Lovely fresh chunky bread and salad variety.... More

My partner and I went to the mug house for a meal on a Thursday evening. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. We had the set menu which we thought was such good value for money. My partner had the 'bubble and squeak' to start and said it was the best starter he has ever had! Overall we had... More

We have just returned from a night away in The Mug House, what a beautiful place to stay. I had the Cottage Room 1 in the building next door which I have to say is one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in. The other guests had Apple blossom which was a lovely room on the top floor... More

Nestled on the Worcestershire and Shropshire borders alongside the river Severn sits the picturesque town of Bewdley, known for its Georgian architecture and quaint black and white cottages, with stunning Riverside frontage. Alongside the seemingly tranquil River on the north side of Bewdley bridge, you will find us at The Mug House Inn, Bewdley's finest River view Inn and AA Rosette Restaurant. Where you can also take the opportunity to extend your visit by staying in our Riverside bed and breakfast accommodation. A warm and friendly welcome will always await you when you wander into this wonderful old Inn. The Mug House is the perfect platform after a good nights rest in the AA 4 star B&B accommodation for those exhilarating walks along the River to see, hear and take in the panoramic views and wildlife in and around Bewdley. Other attractions include the Severn Valley Railway, which continues to Kidderminster and Bridgnorth. Slightly further a field is the city of Worcester and the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire
