The service was like "Faulty Towers" but not that funny. The food was dry and tasteless. The Mug House used to be one of the best eateries in Bewdley. I will not be going back as this has happened more than once within the last 12 months.

We have just stayed two nights for the second year running. Last year were in the Apple room and this year in the Lavender Room. Both beds we very comfortable and the rooms spacious and with character. The shower in the Lavender Room is a little tired but it is still excellent value for the price. We had lunch, two... More

Just popped in for a pint and a look-around. Atmospheric old pub on the riverbank. Would go back for a fuller try-out if we return to Bewdley.

Great atmosphere in the cosy pub/restaurant - attentive staff and a very nice Sunday Lunch. Food was prepared really well and the portions were sizeable, tasted really good and everyone left satisfied and full up ! Would definitely visit again.

Stopped here on the way back from Didcot. A warm welcome, a cosy pub on the bank of the Severn. Good choice of guest beers. Free parking is provided nearby (200m). Our room (Lavender room) was very comfortable, unfortunately, the shower water was cold, no heat whatsoever. Great view of the morning, swans & ducks on the river, with racing... More

Fabulous real ale pub with rooms, they have a resturant serving delicious food, Full range of beers, staff lovely, could not do enough. Situated right on the river and only 10 minutes stroll to the severn valley steam railway.

Taken by friends to celebrate my birthday as they were regular vistors. Very busy and were given their favorite table. Service was quite slow but eventually food arrived. Starters ok but nothing exciting. I ordered Duck breast which was very poorly presented on top of soft rosti potatoes. Skin on top of breast was flabby instead of crisp and whole... More

Came here on our first date last month as we are both foodies, and had looked it up. We were not disappointed. Good selection on the menu, and lovely wine. Cosy atmosphere and staff were lovely and friendly. Highly recommend!

Stayed for the evening and was kindly greeted and showed my room, explained everything clearly and the room was spacious with a huge bed. I ate in the Angry Chef Restaurant and the food was really good! The home cured salmon to start, then duo of lamb as main and finally the iced mango parfait for dessert...amazing! I was full... You have the choice between two eating areas, the lounge bar and a separate dining room. If, like me, you prefer to be within sight of the bar, you will need to get there early. It is possible to run a 'tab' - (For the security-conscious: you just hand over your credit card, which is locked in its own safe,... More

Description
Nestled on the Worcestershire and Shropshire borders alongside the river Severn sits the picturesque town of Bewdley, known for its Georgian architecture and quaint black and white cottages, with stunning Riverside frontage. Alongside the seemingly tranquil River on the north side of Bewdley bridge, you will find us at The Mug House Inn, Bewdley's finest River view Inn and AA Rosette Restaurant. Where you can also take the opportunity to extend your visit by staying in our Riverside bed and breakfast accommodation. A warm and friendly welcome will always await you when you wander into this wonderful old Inn. The Mug House is the perfect platform after a good nights rest in the AA 4 star B&B accommodation for those exhilarating walks along the River to see, hear and take in the panoramic views and wildlife in and around Bewdley. Other attractions include the Severn Valley Railway, which continues to Kidderminster and Bridgnorth. Slightly further a field is the city of Worcester and the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire
