Clean establishment selling a British favourite, Good old fish and chips. Well cooked and good portions. Polite staff too. Complimented a day out on the Severn Valley Railway.

Not been here for years but after a very cold stroll around Bewdley we visited Merchants as the thoughts of a warming meal and drink was overwhelming. It was a fairly simple but adequate menu. The fish (Haddock & Cod) was cooked to perfection, light batter, plenty of chips with a generous portion of mushy peas, what else, all washed... More

Good quality food, and good service from a friendly waitress. Not luxurious, but warm and clean. Perfectly acceptable - just a shame it's not licenced.

We travel from just outside ludlow to bewdley for the best fish and chips. We go quite regularly as we havent found any where as good. They have your typical menu but also do oap nights and boxed meals. The large fish is beautiful, fluffy and almost melts in the mouth. The batter is dry, not oily or greasy! Grab... More

We both had excellent Haddock, chips and mushy peas. The friendly waitress happily split a portion of chips between us as Mum does not have a great appetite. The fish tasted so fresh and the batter was really light. The only slight problem was that it was draughty and chilly for my Mum sitting near the door as customers left... More

Pleasant fish bar to eat in, quick and friendly service. We had chips, battered mushrooms and curry sauce which were very tasty. Hit the spot after our long walk, great if you want something quick, filling and not too expensive. Would definitely visit again.

Severnside in historic Bewdley the cod in tempura batter with perfectly cooked oil free chips were about as good as it gets. They came with great mushy peas and no tartare to discard. The seniors serves we quite enough. The restaurant is basic but the service good. Overall top class fish and chips.
