Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hubby & I had a beautiful meal here yesterday. We received a warm welcome & left with full bellies. I had the sea bass special with gorgeous creamy leeks, whilst Hubby had faggots, mash & peas. Both meals were plentiful, tasty & piping hot. For pud I had syrup sponge & custard & Hubby had pancakes with cherry compote - again, both were lovely. We washed it all down with a large glass of Chardonnay, a Diet Coke & a pint & a half of HPA. For all of the above, the extremely impressive bill total was £45.90. Absolutely without doubt the best value for money meal we’ve had in years but with quality ingredients & warm, homely service included too, you really can’t go wrong here. We’ll certainly be returning soon & have already recommended it to others.

Booked table on reccomendation of a chef I know and how good that was,my wife had the Sea Bass off the specials board and being a regular fish eated she said it was the best she had ever had, I had the 8oz Gammon steak, egg, chips and peas, food faultless, good beer and friendly staff, well done.
We as a couple go out to eat at least once a week sometimes more and over the last 12 months or so have been so dissapointed with the quality and prices of dining out, this establishment has restored my faith that there are still good small family run eating houses, bigger isn't always better.
Well worth a visit.

After a bit of research, I decided to eat here after getting off the train and before going to my accommodation. Food is advertised as being available until 6 pm. I arrived at about 4.30 pm and clearly many were taking advantage of the offerings. The greeting was friendly and I was quickly shown to a table in the bar, and presented with the printed menu and the specials board.
The sea bass immediately caught my eye on the specials, but it came with creamy mash and creamed leaks. I can't tolerate cow's dairy products. After a quick discussion with the kitchen I was offered alternative potatoes and the leeks without being creamed. The food was so good it attracted the attention of a neighbouring table. So many places will now tell you that you get what is offered because it is already pre-prepared. It was great to feel that the kitchen was able to make the effort.
I also felt that the food was great value for money.

Sixteen of us from Dene Valley u3a had booked a group lunch at The Station Inn after we visited Harvington Hall. We soon realised that we would be late arriving for 12.15 so we had to put back the lunch by over half an hour .The Station Team team could not have been more friendly and took this change in their stride even though it must have caused them some inconvenience
There was plenty of food choice and costs were very reasonable. All the food was served hot, served quickly. The plates had been warmed properly ( Always a plus point for me and many more expensive restaurants often fail on this simple test)
Overall an excellent group lunch and many have already told me how much they enjoyed it

This was a place I wanted to visit for a while and we weren’t disappointed. This presents as an authentic pub/restaurant with a wide choice of beers, wines, soft drinks and hot drinks. There was a really good choice of staters, mains, specials and sweets. My wife and I both had faggots, chips and mushy peas followed by a shared sticky toffee pudding. The food was well prepared, served piping hot and flavoursome and good portions. Customer service was excellent with staff appropriately attentive and welcoming. We really enjoyed lunch and will return and have no hesitation in recommending to others. Thank you to the owners and staff… a gem of a place!

We were a family party of 9 and made to feel very welcome. We booked the Station inn as it was a half way point to travel and used reviews on trip advisor to guide our choice of venue. We were not disappointed. This is an honest, unpretentious pub catering for diners and locals alike. The food is good quality and excellent value for money... Sunday lunch was a set menu £4.50 for starters and pudding and £9.95 for main course. A choice of 3 roasts, fish, vegetarian with fresh veg including cauliflower cheese. It was very busy and staff were very attentive ensuring we had everything we needed. I can highly recommend

Amazing food and great friendly staff.
This was my second time eating in this fantastic little pub in a sidestreet in Kidderminster. We walked into yet another friendly greeting followed by a fantastic freshly cooked home prepared meal that was 10 out of 10. We hadn’t booked and all the tables were taken but saying that we were in a hurry we were placed on the table that was being used later on in the lunchtime rush.
I can’t recommend this pub highly enough. Can’t wait for my next visit to try more fantastic food .

Great pub! Went for a Sunday lunch with my friends for our Christmas meal this year and it was delish. I had the pork and it came with a generous amount of crackling and lots of gravy, mash etc. it all came with seperate dishes of cabbage and broccoli and a delish cauliflower cheese. The carrots were honey glazed too, yum.
Lovely atmosphere, parking just to the side, clean toilets and large outdoor area and smoking shelter.
Defo recommend. Colin and Trudy were lovely and so we’re all of our servers.
Thanks for the lovely meal!

Called in one lunchtime to have a drink and watch the football and ended up staying for lunch. The food coming out of the kitchen looked really nice so we thought we’d give it a try and we weren’t disappointed. It was freshly cooked, piping hot and really delicious. A range of meals offered at very competitive prices with very friendly service and car parking on site. A gem of a place not generally well known unless you’re local as it’s situated in a residential road. Well worth a visit; we will definitely be going back

Absolutely love this proper traditional pub in Kidderminster. The food is excellent & very good value for money. Cola is only £2.50. Any where else you would pay more. Service is good. Highly recommend the pan fried chicken with mushroom sauce

Very impressed by this pub. Looked tiny from the outside but they have done some quite innovative stuff to make the fairly large beer garden a semi indoor area with tables and seating. Lots of character. They serve a good range of pub grub, and nobody in our party of five had any complaints. Prices were pretty reasonable, and staff were polite without overdoing it. Parking might get a bit tricky at times, but we found somewhere just up the road without too much trouble.
Definitely recommended.

We booked Sunday lunch here from reviews on TA. We were staying down the road for a weekend break.
Sunday roast was one of best I have had, we both liked how food is brought out in seperated dishes so you can serve yourself your own veg.
Social distancing was very good and felt very safe.
Staff were very friendly and got timing spot on when checking on if we had finished.
Recommended 100%
Great value for money 2 courses each just shy of £30z

Delicious food served in a very safe, warm and cosy environment even when sat outside in December. This little pub has gone the extra mile in these strange covid times and we had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch there. Well done to everyone!
