Brilliant day out excellent volunteers unfortunately we had some delay due to a steam failing (it happens no big problem) the valley quickly put a plan into action all steam trains seem to be preserved well and looked after even the diseasels were looked after :) love how they always run as much steam as possible sometimes trains fail it... Love it here so lovely watching the trains go past and it's exciting not just for little kids but big kids alike not quite sure how much it is to go on the trains but if you go on the site it gives you a price list

A memorable, nostalgic steam hauled journey from Bridgnorth. Just time for a pie and a pint in an authentic period railway public waiting room. Full of history, lovingly preserved. Then back on the train. All perfectly wheelchair- friendly - including a disabled loo on the concourse.

If you like to see and smell steam trains then this has to be the place for you. Not only can you ride the trains but you can get off on one of the stations on the 16 mile route and walk around one of the towns or visit their engine shed.

It's just like stepping back in time with the steam engines pulling in and out and 1960s decor throughout. I'm no expert but most looks like original restored... More

My wife gave me a "Freedom of the line" ticket as a present and we spent a very enjoyable day visiting many of the places the line passes through. We went after the Summer timetable had started as all the trains were hauled by steam locos, The tickets we had enabled us to go back and fore all day. We... More
