Been here many times just the 2 of us and with friends of 6 or 40 with the Theatre.
What I call a Classy Curry... Staff are always friendly, informative and attentive. The food never feels too fatty if you know what I mean and your plate never looks like a mess. The decor is modern set on 2 floors with a mezzanine floor making the ceiling high and spacious to the front of the building. Toilets are upstairs accessible via stairs ... Not sure if there are downstairs toilets for wheelchairs? Almost sure there isn't.
The Bar is nicely stocked with Draught and bottled beverages and a nice waiting area with Music on screen video and couches.
The building is fronted in glass looking out to a pedestrian area opposite The Town Hall and is perfect for a meal before or after a show at The Theatre.
For us this is our come to place when we fancy a Curry and tonight I went Veggie and had Paneer... Then I was given advice on what other Veggie dishes offered.
A Classy Curry that stands head and shoulders above the competition in the area .

We originally booked for 6pm because we had a theatre show at 7:30pm however motorway traffic made us late, called ahead to move our booking to 6:30pm (pushing it I know) but the staff were amazing, we walked in were seated, drinks served, and food demolished in 45 minutes! And that was with popadoms to start! To add to the already fantastic service the food was amazing! One of the best curries i have tried since my time studying in India. They’ve really got it right. Thanks to the team for so politely fitting us in on a busy Saturday night and still providing tHe bets food and service!

My team and I come up to Redditch once a year and every time we eat at Rily’s. The food is modern and delicious. The staff are good people and the restaurant is clean.
They make me a different custom vegetarian dish each time and I’d recommend challenging them because it’s been delicious every time.
I’m looking forward to my next visit.
Thx Rily’s!!

This was absolutely revolting. Having friends who recommended this I finally gave it a go and now I question if they have any sense. I ordered veggie dansak which looked like the veggies had been scraped from the leftovers bin, oily, greasy, couldn't eat it. The tandoori mixed grill looked as though it had been microwaved, and certainly had a very rubbery texture. The meat also looked discoloured further confirming old meat. The peshwari naan was reasonable although burned. There is better in Redditch. I wonder if the people dining inside had the same muck served as my take-away, or perhaps their tastebuds don't function. What's worse is that I paid full price for this and i wouldn't go back for it in the 50% off deal. When I phoned to discuss this I was given excused then was hung up again so I called back to dispute this further and was advised I'd be called back by a manager of which has not yet happened. I hope this prompts them in order to rectify this vile experience as I'm happy to keep calling them until something has been done to resolve it. This was the most disgusting "meal" for £17 - you'd be better off going next door to wetherspoons getting a decently cooked one and pint for £7. AVOID!!!

Below expectations. Starter (mixed grill for two) chicken was completely raw throughout. Sent back to kitchen. Received new one. Only just cooked (borderline). Rest of meal was ok but service was poor and late. Waiters were not very friendly. No compensation was offered. Full bill expected and waiter argued against the requested deduction of the price for the mixed grill. Initially only offered £3.60 compensation because "that's the price for the chicken". He went onto make excuses that because the chef cooks so many, some end up being raw. After a lengthy argument with waiter, he removed the cost of the starter. No apology received. Definitely will not be returning.

Rilys is, without a doubt, our favourite place to eat, especially as a pre-theatre treat. Great atmosphere, stunning surroundings and highly efficient staff who are clearly very proud of their establishment. The menu is extensive and the food is outstanding. So often I look forward to meals out only to leave feeling disappointed and under-valued as a customer. The staff at Rilys are attentive, knowledgeable regarding the menu and wine list and good humoured. The food is simply amazing; dishes arrive quickly, even during busy periods, the food is freshly prepared with beautiful spices and garnish and generous portions. We look forward to our visits to Rilys so much and we have never been disappointed. Thank you for always making our visits such a pleasure.

We’ve recently moved to Redditch earlier this year from brum and have now become regular customers as we love it so much, frequenting here every week now. We’ve been here probably around 10 times now and got to say it’s on par with some of the best curry houses in bham and that’s saying something.
What do I say, firstly the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable and spacious inside.
COVID - they have been taking COVID 19 precautions seriously and you always feel safe in there. You have to order by scanning the menu onto your food and writing what you want onto paper.
The food, I’ve been working my way through the dishes especially the chefs recommended dishes, every one I’ve had so far has been bang on. Starters sheek kebab so tasty and tender. The chicken pakora also really nice and not greasy at all when sometimes they do tend to be. The mains my personal favourite is the Bombay Naga lamb, the lamb is so tender and the dish is spicy and full of flavour. There are so many other excellent dishes from the recommenced to the traditional curries like rogan josh, all really tasty. Naans are lovely too nice and soft perfect to mop up into the curry.
What was really impressive was one of the staff members once telling us how they get flavours out of the curries, they’re trying to focus on enhancing flavours so rather than spicing up a curry by simply adding more curry powder to the dish, they do it in different ways eg the naga chilli dish the chilli itself is made into a pickle then added to the dish into the sauce. So tasty. The beer on tap too the cobra is spot on, not too gassy so goes down very well with the curry.
Finally the staff, always welcoming and willing to chat with us. Very knowledgeable and passionate about the food, it’s a big reason why we keep coming back.
Keep up the great work guys, we love it here

We visited Rilys for a birthday celebration and were blown away by the service, food and how accommodating the staff were.
So many amazing dishes to choose from and even with a few vegetarians in the party, still had lots of choice.
The staff were really attentive and definitely pulled out all the stops.
Would definitely recommend.

Rilys has got to be the best Indian restaurant in Worcestershire.
From the comfortable seating in delightful serene surroundings (which is a bit like eating in a beautiful art gallery) to the high quality tableware, sparkly glassware and beautifully dressed tables, the whole place simple oozes opulence and attention to detail.
The delicious food is also quite remarkable, with obviously high quality ingredients and each dish is presented as a work of art.
The staff are very friendly and engaging and they manage to be attentive without hovering.
All of this excellent service, great food and lovely décor comes at a very reasonable price too, with the food and wine costing only a little more than other places in the town. Rily's have set the standard very high and elevated our expectations of what an Indian restaurant should be; nowhere else in Redditch comes close.

First visit last night celebrating friends birthday.
Very safe with all Covid restrictions in place and being adhered too.
Food was lovely, just the right amount although you may want to share a bowl of rice as that is plentiful.
We shall be back.
Car park behind Rising Sun (Wetherspoons) is free from 7pm if you need somewhere to park.

Have been to Rilys on a number of occasions and never been disappointed. The food is top quality. If in doubt the knowledgeable and friendly waiting staff offer advice and guidance on what to order to suit your taste. The atmosphere and service is first class. It is our go to place in Redditch and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting or living in the area.

This was our first visit to Riley’s in Redditch, but we had been to the other branch in Evesham many times.
We were very impressed by how clean the restaurant and toilets were and how lovely the atmosphere was. All of the staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help.
We ordered starters and main courses which arrived in perfect time and cooked to perfection. Portion sizes were just right. Not once did we feel rushed.
I totally recommend the katamasala, especially if you want a flavoursome dish without the spice.
This has to be the best experience I’ve had when going out for a curry and we most certainly will be back.

Ordered a Chicken Tikka Balti takeaway, and Chicken Tikka starter, when it arrived it was barely warm, ,the chicken was not Tikka but little odd bits of plain chicken with curry? dropped on top. (The starter WAS Tikka, this was good,) Even the Naan was cold. For the amount we paid £33 for two of us, Have had lovely meals in the restaurant in the past, but this just looked like we had leftovers curry for the takeaway. Never again!!

It had been quite a while since we had visited this restaurant, after visiting two or three times in the past. On this recent visited, we were reminded that this is a nice place, with good food and equally good service. We went for a few dishes that were new to us, and were pleasantly surprised - nice presentation and flavour. We must have had contact with at least six different members of staff from being shown to our table to paying our bill, and we’re never once left wondering if and when the waiter was going to return to take extra drinks orders - the position a lot of other places have found themselves in. It’s not the cheapest Indian restaurant to dine at, but overall, we were happy that the extra price translated into a better experience.

We booked a meal via the internet. Our first out since lockdown. From the moment we stepped through the door we were welcomed as if into someone’s home. Hand sanitiser stations were throughout the restaurant with staff wearing full PPE. To order we were given a sheet to write down our choices, but waiting staff were on hand to guide you through and suggest courses. Our food came very quickly and I have to say was the best curry I’ve ever had!! The portion sizes were just right, very flavoursome and not too heavy! The nan was so soft and fluffy. Saif is an assest to the restaurant! He is friendly, approachable and happy to engage with customers. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again! Thank you all
