When visiting friends in the area my must go to is The Asha. Every dish I have tried is prepared superbly & consists of excellent ingredients. The welcome from Abdul & Mr Khan is always warm & they will advise on dishes being considered. Also for value for money this restaurant is hard to beat Well done to all at The Asha & I look forward to my next visit.

Ordered on a recommendation from our neighbour and was certainly not disappointed. Three of us tried different starters and main meals from the large, varied menu and found everything to be really fresh and very tasty and one of the best takeaway meals we have had in a long time. Portions very generous. Ordering very efficient and was delivered by a very pleasant gentleman Can't wait to order again and to try out the restaurant with family and friends ...See you soon Ann

Very good food and service

Visited Asha recently based on word of mouth recommendations. We arrived early and pleasantly surprised to find other diners already seated and enjoying their food. Staff very friendly and efficient, got off to a dodgy start as poppadum's were stale and some of the chutneys on the pickle tray were watered down. Starters followed and things picked up, they were really nice and we enjoyed them very much. Main courses arrived and, again were really good, plates were nice and hot as was the food which was very tasty and good portions. Table cloths spotless but my wife was less than impressed with the cleanliness in the toilets. Would get food from here again but not much of an atmosphere for dining - gives the impression of a room tacked on to the takeaway premises that somebody has decided to put a few tables in to attract eat-in customers.

Has several takeaways from here recently after being advised by a neighbour that it had changed hands and was much improved since my last review. Tonight however it returned to its original terribleness. 2 hours and 15 minutes for an online takeaway ordered on their own website to arrive after 2 phone. 1st call we were told it had left, 2nd phone call 20 minutes later and he went off to find out where it was and then put the phone down. When it arrived the pot of lime pickle contained about a dessert spoon full. I ordered a mixed biriani, no prawns to be found and the lamb was like shoe leather. It was full of peppercorns and cloves which I nearly broke my teeth on. No salad with it unless you count a slice of cucumber and a cherry tomato on the top, curry sauce that came with it was horrid. Hubby had the lamb tikka naga, also shoe leather lamb, went in the bin and won’t be going back.

Poor service won’t be using again

We have used Asha for takeaway a number of times and have always enjoyed the food. We decided to order for New Years Eve and planned ahead by pre-ordering online. We booked the food early evening (around 5) to be delivered for 8. At 8:50 we hadn’t received our food and so spoke to the restaurant who assured us it was out for delivery which was fine as we understood it is busy on NYE. At 9:30 we still had not received our food and spoke to the restaurant who said it would be with us soon as the delivery was going to BL2 before BL8, when asked how long that would take the man asked us how long does it take to get from BL2 to BL8. We explained that it was now too late to eat and if it did not arrive in the next 10 minutes we would cancel the order which the man said he understood and apologised. At 10:10 the delivery man knocked on the door. When my husband spoke to the delivery driver he explained why we didn’t want the food, the driver said he had come straight from the restaurant and had not been to BL2 so was a bit taken aback when we refused the food. It is a shame as the food is good but unfortunately we will be taking our Buisness elsewhere.

Normally good but . . .

Use this place a lot and usually pretty good but tonight, no. Getting the order wrong by missing an item off and also getting the price given over the phone wrong to what was charged at the door was nothing compared to the abysmal quality of the starters. The prawns in the Prawn puri were chewy and dry, not edible and so ended up in the dogs bowl. Nearly 4 quid each and they were absolutely awful. Have had a quality issue in the past and rang them about it and just got an ‘oh sorry’ no effort at all to put it right so time to find a new takeaway. Disappointed.

New Years Eve get together

We have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions and have never had a bad experience. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. We have always felt welcome and never felt pushed to finish our meal. We had a great time there on New Years Eve and will certainly be returning next time we are in Bury

Highly recommend for any occasion.

Been going here since they opened, and can honestly say, would not go anywhere else. Staff very helpful and friendly, food always great,, even during busy times they always take the time to come and check everything is ok. They never rush you during busy times either, which is always a bonus, as sone places are only interested in getting you served and out the door. Highly recommend. Prices very reasonable too.

Bland base gravy.

Called in Sunday, the 15th . This review is solely on the food Out with freinds . 11 of us dined, Food arrived quite promptly which surprised me . All yhe carries had been made with a base gravy . Shockingly bland . Not even a sprig of corriander to make it look slightly appealing waste of money . Avoid at all costs

Good choice for a takeaway

Ordered a takeaway to be delivered to our campsite. Great service. Arrived exactly on time. Lovely food. Nice starters and good tender lamb in the main Can’t fault it. Will be ordering again next time we are in the area. Thank you 👍

Amazing food, fantastic service... Hidden gem!

Myself and my girlfriend are returning customers. Everytime the service is amazing. Be sure to try the specials..... Wow! Each visit we try a different dish and have never been disappointed. Being your own booze is also massive benefit, especially with a tesco express across the road. If you're stumbling across this review, go, book a table, support a local.l business, you won't be disappointed! :)

Just gets better!

Return visit with friends, as previously excellent standard of food & superb service from Abdul & the team, Mr Khan also in attendance to make sure everyone is looked after. Some of the new dishes are amazing & for value can't be beaten. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Lovely Indian food

Had a lovely meal here tonight... it was a last minute thing so we hadn't booked a table, the food was outstanding. Curries gorgeous and a brilliant size portion, we had a curry each and brought half home each. Mushroom rice to die for, naan bread lovely. Brill that you can bring your own alcoholic drinks too. We'll definitely be back.

Never Dissapointed

As a group of girls we often meet & go to The Asha. Cannot fault it. Staff so attentive and we were well looked after. Food is Delish as always and the best King Prawn Tikka Pathia! I have booked myself & my son for Xmas Day...Can't wait. Keep up the great work boys 👍🏻👍🏻

Live next door to a popular curry house but this was sooo good
