Oh dear. Just been in Bury today only to find Emerson's closed. Could this be a sign of the times! It's a pity because we have always had good food and service in the past but if this is due to retirement we wish you...More

What a welcoming atmosphere! Being gluten intollerant, it's handy to have egg and bacon. Also, I only drink boiled water which I wasn't charged for. Leanne brought me a cup and saucer and a pot of water. Much appreciated, (Obviously, I took this into account...More

I came here last Friday with my partner and grandparents. It was very busy inside so we assumed it must be a good place to go... well you know what they say about assuming! There was only one four person table, which hadn't been cleaned,...More

Thankyou so much for your kind words, especially after the negative one. Too many people just want to promote the negative, and Its a pat on the back to our staff you have defended us. Hope to see you soon and you continue visiting us....More

We have visited this bistro on many occasions and have found the food and service to be excellent. Not this time however. Two soups and sandwiches were ordered along with a Breakfast Rarebit. We also ordered drinks and scones for later. The scones came first...More

Having read the review after yours and discussed with my staff I am not commenting on any of your points only to say "you can't please everyone, no matter how hard you try"!

I note I am not alone in expectations of a Large (full) English Breakfast... I don't expect a defib to need to be on standby but I literally left the bistro and went for a pasty. How is one sausage and one egg a large...More

We do not advertise Large breakfast and it clearly says the quantity on the menu of the breakfast so if you weren't happy with this and the price why order it?

Visited here on a Saturday morning with my girlfriend whilst shopping in Bury. We had the misfortune of having the waitress without the brain cell - although think they all possibly shared one. I ordered a breakfast, with a coffee and my girlfriend had a...More

Having read you review the day you posted it and having thought about my response, I think you are completely within your rights to have your opinion. What I will not except is you slandering my staff. To say the girl in question had no...More

The food is lovely and reasonably priced! The two staff working were very friendly and quick to serve me, even though the cafe was quite busy. I would definitely visit here again :)

After a full English you should be feeling like your life is in danger, not that you are on a diet. Pleasant place, nice staff, but for 7 pounds you should get more than 1 small sausage, 1 piece of black pudding, 1 slice of...More

David and Tony opened Emersons in 2005. They have been in catering for most of their working life, Tony being a Craft Baker and David a Master Butcher. Originally operating as a takeaway and Cafe they are now (due to the high demand) an established sit down Bistro.Emersons emphasis is on impeccable service, standards and quality. Our Mantra is to buy the best there is to buy and where possible make our own products. All the hot dishes are made fresh, and do take time to cook, and we are sure you'll agree its worth the wait. Our staff provide the service you expect, and will help and advise you in making the right choice of meal.We know how much you all love Tonys homemade delicious food and now we are bringing you a special treat with a big impact, Emerson's management have worked hard to add that personal touch to every meal to bring all round customer satisfaction, our new chef Andre is very passionate about food with over 16 years experience in restaurants and now he is bringing his own specials to our menu and if you haven't yet tasted his delicious food then get yourself along to Emerson's because they a certainly not something to be missed!
