Great visit, it’s the staff that make it so special, we only called in for snacks on a Sunday lunch and were treated so well and they accommodated every need. We’ll definitely come back for a full meal.

First visit today ,will be going again. Great warm welcome immediately made to feel at home, good start! Sat in dogs welcome area nice idea so not winding anyone up that doesn’t like dogs. Decor smart and loos immaculate. Good choice on menu we had...the three course offer for £16.95 very good value. Service was stand out to be fair, all staff very pleasant and efficient, food arrived perfectly timed all food good standard (great chips) only one small gripe we can’t book in advance for the dog area so must arrive early. Would very much recommend this place.More

We are just back from a weeks holiday in beautiful Norfolk and whilst out exploring one day, we drove by The Aviator. It looked so inviting we decided to stop off for a light bite. We didn’t have a booking but that was no problem...at all, we were welcomed on entering by the really lovely and friendly Manager. He immediately accommodated us in the area where you are allowed to take your dog ( our miniature schnauzer goes everywhere with us), the Manager was warm, chatty, friendly and also he was very nice to our dog, which we feel is such a nice touch. The interior is absolutely beautiful and we felt very comfy and cosy right from the moment we sat down. Service from the Manager was also super attentive and efficient. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We were only stopping by for a light bite, but looking at the menu and the specials board, we literally could have gone for so many things on the menu. Really wonderful, creative sounding dishes, which we love, it’s a little bit different from a lot of the run of the mill pub grub places and we felt the menu was very exciting. My husband went for the boa bun with crispy chilli beef and a hoisin sauce on the side, this was served piping hot and the chunks of beef were absolutely delicious. It was a very big portion for a starter. I had the Gochujang Aranchini with mixed salad leaf, red pepper pearls and lemon oil…….oh my goodness YUM!!! I also had a glass of house white wine which was crisp, cold and delicious (since we we were there on holiday, I just had to have a second glass, even though it was a Wednesday……..why not). I wish we were on holiday a bit longer, as we definitely would have gone back for a full meal. We are back in Norfolk next year and will DEFINITELY make a bee line back to the Aviator. I would highly recommend The Aviator to anyone, it offers EVERYTHING……..out of this world food, fantastic service, a warm and friendly atmosphere and we felt it offers good value for money too. Thank you for a wonderful visit.More

most expensive snack ever had. my familey went for lunch. most meals around £15 so you expect a full plate meal for that price i had steak pie and chips mushy peas ther was so few chips never had a miserable amount like that before....i expect maln to come as full plate of pie chips and peas instead over half the plate was taken up by jug of gravey and large pot only small amount of peas in it. when you see these gimmicks on your plate it says poor manager and poor presentation and poor value for money. desert even worse £8 smallest portion ever had anywhere not worth £2 . so wont be going back and advise you to never go.More

Ill start off with saying the staff are absolutely amazing. We were served by Sarah K who was lovely and very bubbly. Alice, both Charlottes, Hugh, Claire and Sarah J were also amazing and made us to feel so welcome. The whole team sang happy...birthday to myself and was an absolutely lovely experience and we throughly enjoyed every moment there. The food exceeded our expectations as said by the whole family and our drinks poured by Jack and Alex were also top notch. Would definitely recommend.More

It’s a lovely pub and we had no issues with the staff or service. However, the beef on the Sunday roast on the 15th October left a lot to be desired in my opinion. I like my beef to be on the well done side,...the beef on this occasion was far from this and as a result I wasn’t able to enjoy the meal. This isn’t my gripe, as it’s up to the chef how he sees fit to cook joints of meat. My main concern was how tough the meat was, it was a real struggle to eat. Two of our party had the beef and a third member also tried it. We all commented on how chewy/tough the meat was. Again, take it or leave it, it’s how things turn out on the day, my issue is that, I have today been for root canal treatment due to a damaged nerve in my tooth. I have no proof that it was caused by the meat, but I started with issues the next day. (Coincidence maybe, but I have my doubts). Cheese pie for me next time, (providing I’m welcome after this review!)More

Hi there, Was you racially abused by a member of staff or by one of the customers, either way it's not acceptable and I would report it to the brewery (John W Lees) and the police.
