This coffee shop is a real gem of a find when you're in Stockport, it serves great coffee, really lovely selection of cakes, paninis etc.
There is plenty of outside seating, and even space for prams and wheelchairs ♿️, and all the staff are lovely.
At the moment, they don't take bookings, so it's first come first served on tables, but I think once they've been open longer, they may decide to do table reservations.
I wish them all the very best for the future, keep doing what you're doing, you're certainly getting the customers, which is wonderful to see ☺️.

Good coffee shops are hard to find, but The Coffee Block in Stockport is a gem of a find. A new addition to Stockport …its amazing. And its fast becoming a firm favourite coffee shop of people local to Stockport.
The store itself is light, open and very welcoming. It is ultra clean and tidy. There is a good amount of seating, well spaced out. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, speaking to each and every customer. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
They serve a good selection of coffees and some different but absolutely delicious coffees. I can highly recommend the red velvet latte.They serve a good selection of hot food( toasties, panini’ etc)catering for and including vegan and vegetarian. customers. Too many favourites for me to name them all. Also there is a good selection of cakes and brownies , also catering for the vegan customers. Again a recommendation of a slice of the vegan lemon, poppyseed and raspberry cake… its delicious. All priced very reasonably for the high standard of food and drinks.
All in all its worth a trip to Stockport just to vist The Coffee Block.. you will not be disappointed.

As a Stockport OG who migrated down south for work, I spent the most of my 20s and 30s paying overpriced coffees and teas at soulless corporation chains. For many years I have been searching for an independent coffee house where I could relax, be myself and more importantly, receive great quality beverages made by professional baristas who have real customer service. Well, well the search is finally over for me. I stumbled across Coffee Block one drizzly afternoon and spent hours in there. The service I received was exceptional and the nutmeg latte was so divine that I ended up going back again a couple of days later. The friendly staff to the warm decor, foliage to the comfortable seats made for a fantastic atmosphere. I will visit every time I am back home. Stockport town centre is in need of urgent TLC to bring shoppers back and Coffee Block will play a key part in this drive. Keep up the great work to the CB team and, to Stockport town as a whole - protect this haven of an establishment at all costs!

We've been in here so much since they opened, it's like a home from home! All the staff are so friendly with my 2 little ones, they take the time to stop and chat with them, give them stickers and just make every experience really positive. They have genuinely really good coffee and incredible sweet treats including a great range of vegan options.
Dave the owner is really generous and recently donated selection boxes to my son's nursery for the Children's Christmas fair. Today they hosted myself and workmates for our Christmas do and set us up such a lovely table and we're really accommodating.
There's a really sense of community rather than just business and it's a real asset to Stockport.

I've recently made Coffee Block my daily 'wake up coffee' location. The coffee is really high quality, the range of cakes available is excellent, always something there to catch my interest once I've had a coffee to wake up with. The service is exceptional, ALWAYS fast, friendly and very efficient. Can't fault Coffee Block or the Staff! They've recently won the award for Stockport 'Business of the Year'! Well deserved!

I along with a friend visited this place for a quick coffee/snack. I was feeling sick therefore I wanted to use the toilet before I order. I asked a member of staff (a girl with red hair and sight glasses) about the whereabouts of the toilet. She asked me if I have ordered any drinks yet? I replied, I will in a minute but I need to use the toilet first. To which she got angry and told me that no, you cannot unless you order first. I really wanted to give her the taste of her medicine but since I wasn’t feeling well so I ordered the drinks and food first (which I was going to do anyway)then I went to use the toilet. In fact when I was ordering the food she was avoiding to answer my questions about the cakes. She had a very passive aggressive attitude. The problem is that you cannot bound your customers in such a way like that. If a customer has already told you that they are going to order then you should take their word. I am never going to visit this place again. That girl needs some training in how does hospitality works. She’s not good for the business.

This is our regular go to venue for a meet up. We love the fact that it's independent. The staff are friendly and the service is speedy. It's often busy, but the tables are cleared quickly and you can always find a space. Great tasting coffee and of course there's a selection of teas as wells as frappes and smoothies .... but the variety of cakes and bakes seems to increase every time we go! They cater for gluten free and vegan and have a cabinet crammed with baguettes and paninis. I'm a soup fan and they offer that too; any wonder it's top of our list? I've recommended it to friends with confidence!

Amazing as usual! Lunch with the kids in a very busy Easter holidays, amazing staff smiling and chatty whilst speedy service - a combination rarely found ❤️ super tasty paninis and the cakes…. Oh.the.cakes!! Shout out for the red velvet iced latte! Xx

This hidden gem is the Willy Wonka’s Factory of coffee shops, minus the Oompa Loompas but with a team of bubbly baristas that are just as entertaining. David and his crew of caffeine clerics serve up the best Dirty Chai north of the equator.
From the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped in a warm hug of delightful chaos, where the air is filled with the symphony of grinding beans and the baristas’ banter. They know your name, your order, and even your dog’s favourite treat.
It’s the perfect spot to get lost in a book, surrounded by cozy corners and quirky decor that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into a whimsical storybook. Coffee is second to none, cake selection is to die for and is constantly being updated with new specials. If you're lucky enough to get your hands on a Biscoff cronut, you won't be disappointed & you'll definitely be thinking of it daily until your next visit. Stockport has been in need of somewhere like this for a long time. Independent wins every time for me.

I came here for a coffee and wanted to try this place out after seeing it was ranked top for coffee in Stockport. The atmosphere was really nice inside, I ordered a cortado to stay in and was pleasantly surprised as it was made perfect temperature and tasted lovely. Best barista I've seen, much better than most coffee shops and you can tell they take pride in what they all do. I asked him what his name was he said he was called Dan, answered all my questions about the coffee and how long they have been open nice gentleman I will be back!

Best independent Coffee Shop ever....i have known Dave for years and was pleasantly surprised when i found out he had set up his own coffee shop. Since discovering this i visit on most of my days off. Dave and Sadie have a passion for coffee and customer service and the shop has a lovely feel and ambience about it. The coffee is amazing as is the selection of bespoke cakes....forget the run of the mill cakes you fond in other coffee shops this selection is amazing and like nothing else around. Without doubt the best coffee shop i have ever been in and the customer service is 100% .

I was walking through Stockport precinct today and decided to try getting something at a really nice looking indipendent Coffee Shop. I would much rather have a coffee in a stand alone business than a generic American chain. I decided to have two of their cakes and a mint tea. cakes were £3.95 each which is fair for table service. Mint tea £2.25.
Lovely spacious and light cafe with a welcoming warmth. Staff are really lovely, very happy and singing along to the uptempo music being played which doesn’t get on your nerves.
It’s currently 3.30pm on a Sunday but it doesn’t feel like the staff are clock watching. I think they’ve recruited people who are making a good atmosphere.
It’s only my first visit since opening in August last year but now I have tried it I will be back.
I like finding nice places. Rather than just going to the shops I can look forwards to visiting that lovely cafe.
It’s shame the view outside the main window is of the works, but if you don’t look out the window you go be anywhere ( like London ).
Stockport really changing for the better these days. And I think it’s reached a tipping point now where more and more people will come out here rather than have to go into Manchester.
Dogs are welcome and it’s family friendly too.

The place to go for Coffee/Teas, sandwiches & cakes in Stockport… independent coffee house serving handcrafted coffees and other drinks, as well as a great selection of sandwiches, panini’s & cakes.
Cheerful, Friendly staff & speedy service… lovely decor and atmosphere… can’t recommended enough. Look forward to many more visits.

The ONLY place to go for good coffee in Stockport. Unrivalled selection of cakes and sandwiches and the availability of speciality coffees is what sets this place apart. Dave and his team are bright, attentive and unparalleled in their outstanding service.
The shop itself is beautifully decorated, clean and homely. It's like walking into your best mates house for a brew, but they happen to be the best barista in town.
