Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited with family whilst visiting from CANADA and this spot should not be missed! Great service, friendly staff, yummy Gin drinks and really good food. Had the Sunday roast beef, served with Yorkshire pudding and a wonderful medley of vegetables. Everyone enjoyed their meal and...the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Highly recommend this pub.More

I visited here last Sunday with my husband and son. We were looking for a bite to eat in the Romily area and found this on Trip Advisor, so glad that we did. We almost drove past, as it’s not very obviously a pub from...the front but turning left into the car park we were surprised to see how big it was! There is a big area used for their events and as a car park and tables and chairs behind the pub itself. It was a bit nippy so we chose to eat inside. It has a cottage feel like an old traditional pub. We were greeted by Paul the landlord who introduced himself and served our drinks from the bar. His wife June showed us to a table and we chose from the lunch menu. They made us feel really welcome and were chatty and helpful which is so nice these days, I wish this was my local!More

Great range of ales and ice cold lagers . Good food and a great atmosphere created by the landlord and the bar staff . Lovely lady with short black hair and glasses behind the bar , great sense of humour too . Very busy place...but both the landlord and his staff are always clocking who’s next to be served and are fast and efficient. I love this pub and make a bee-line for it every time I come up from Norfolk . This is how pubs used to be and should be . Sad to say that some other pubs in the locale seem to be managed by people who have lost touch with their own customers. Not here though . Give the foresters ( The piggy ) a try when you’re in the area , you won’t be disappointed, Norfolk Rob 👍More

Best Sunday roast I have had in a pub for a long time. Everything was perfectly cooked. I am very fussy about my roast potatoes but these were amazing. Quality food at a good price. Thank you

Had the pleasure of being at the “Piggy” this afternoon for a Bob Marley tribute act. The sun was shining, the BBQ food was amazing and everything was just perfect. The atmosphere was so friendly and Paul & June looked after everyone as though we...were family! Cannot wait to go back.More

Known locally as the Piggy ,this is definitely by far one of the best pubs for food. Just had a chicken curry and my wife had the Steak and Ale pie. They were both delicious. The hosts Paul and June make you feel very welcome.

I’ve reviewed this pub a number of times. Purely because I am never disappointed with the friendliness. Service. Quality of food. My daughter and I went today in the hope the FA Cup game was being shown. It was and we had planned to eat...there for lunch. I can honestly say it didn’t disappoint it was amazing. Thankfully city also maybe wasn’t amazing but got the win. Julie and Paul are massive city fans and the service. Friendliness was still 100%. Always look after the customers. I’m going to post my salad as I’ve never had such a lovely salad. It was really filling as well. This place never disappoints. Thank you to all the staff and more importantly Tom (the chef)More

First visit and was not disappointed. The hosts are very friendly and service is impeccable. They have a great Gluten Free choice for starters. Main Course and dessert. My wife loved the GF Toffee Apple Crumble. Definitely give it a try.
