Shambles has a lovely atmosphere with fireplaces and live piano entertainment. It has a bar and informal area as well as a dedicated restaurant area. Great wines and attentive service. Pricey though - about double what one should pay because the quality of the food...More

Indeed... Shambles services a Sunday roast and its really tasty! Combining traditional classic likes a big crunchy Yorkshire with a more Mediterranean gravy- extremely tasty and good value.

First visual impression was very favourable, but that is where it ended. My order of honey glazed ham with mash potatoes and broccoli defies description. The food was bland, it was not possible to tell whether the ham had ever seen any honey, glaze or...More

It is always a pleasure to eat at Shambles. The staff are smiling, friendly and attentive. It is not a cheap restaurant but the quality of the food and the excellent service justifies the prices. My starter of octopus carpaccio was perfect, we followed our...More

After a very pleasurable experience there last month, on this particular visit, they clearly had blown it. The lasagne was returned back to the kitchen by several tables, including ours, because it was served with pulled pork on the top without even a bolognaise sauce....More

When you read the name you will not know the restaurant serves Italian food but it is a very pleasant place and in summertime one can sit outside. Your dog is also welcome outside in the garden

Description
Family run since 1983, on offer is a simple, seasonally focused, Italian inspired menu that changes daily. We deeply care about being sustainable, using amazing produce (some fruits and vegetables grown on site) and providing friendly professional customer service, along side a fantastic wine list. This all translates into the buzzing energy of the restaurant with Live Music on the weekends & a bocce/petanque court in the summer months. Set in a old Grade 2 listed butchers, feel our warm and relaxed atmosphere whether dining indoors or al fresco in our beautiful summer garden. Located close is Twickenham Rugby Stadium, only a short taxi, bus or train ride away.
