Had a very tasty takeaway. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala, which can be the dullest of Indian dishes (now slightly wondering why I sometimes order it...), but not this version. It was creamy, tasty and yet somewhat spicy, with a heat that develops over...time. You get 10% off for picking up a takeaway, which is a nice touch, but I was half tempted to sit down when I arrived, because the restaurant is attractively decorated and was pretty full with a relaxed atmosphere, even though it was only 6.30pm on a Friday night. I'll be back here for sure.More

Lovely food restaurant great aphmosphere and staff are really good our first visit was very good and our 3rd visit we found the portions small and my.hubby left hungry which has never happened visiting a indian. Will visit again but but not in near future.also...no nan's.More

I was here for a birthday celebration with friends. The food was excellent and the staff were amazing - friendly, good fun and they went out of their way to make it a great night!

We booked Roots for my birthday with family and since we arrived it was wow experience. Aman - Restaurant Manager greeted and offered best table in the restaurant ,kind of Maharaja’s table and since then me,my wife ,father in law and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed...the fine touches on hospitality ,outstanding menu created by Chef /Owner Mayur and Team and also serviced offered by Delton and Sielo . We loved lamb chops ,Nilgiri prawns ,lasooni palak ,lamb Kolhapuri and chicken grilled starter as well . We will keep visiting here as Indian food isn’t just curry but amazing cuisine this nation has to offer is displayed by this amazing place The Roots ….More

It was my wife and I wedding anniversary, we chose ROOTS as it is a new restaurant to Teddington, and it did NOT disappoint! I have been a lover of eating and cooking Indian food for 38 years now, I can honestly say this is...in my top 3 of all time Indian restaurants. The food is presented very well, with some nice smoke flourishes, the authentic tastes of the food were exquisite, the staff were knowledgeable and attentive to our needs, and took time asking what we liked and assisted in our choice of dishes, and they were spot on. The restaurant is well decorated and has a lovely warm family atmosphere, I would highly recommend ROOTS, for all occasions.More

Visiting Teddington for thw Concours de Elegance car show at Hampton Court Palace, we booked Root's because it was busy when we passed by on Friday night What can I say? Being form Glasgow originally, I am used to very high quality Indian cuisine &...Roots could hold it's head high in my home city. Well worth a visit!More

I with my partner have visited Roots a number of times now .. each and every time it has been sublime and simply outstanding. We just had to recommend it to friends! Last night I returned with four of my friends and we were graciously...seated at the "Chefs" table, under gorgeous and dramatic parasol. I was delighted that they too were blown away by the quality, presentation and mouth watering flavours of the food as well as the atmosphere, lighting and ambiance. Can highly recommend Roots. We were staying in Teddington and after a day at the rugby were looking for something local. Everything about this place is excellent, the food is different to the usual fare and the staff are excellent. I can't remember the name...of the main man but all the staff were great.More
