Just moved to the area and wanted to find a local Indian restaurant. Absolutely loved it, food was lovely but the service was even better, always served with a smile (and an extra few mint chocolates)

For those in the know this is basically the best place to go for a curry in Twickenham. It’s been around for ages and the venue/staff are top notch. My favourites include the onion bhaji, puri and Chicken Tandoori. Well worth checking out.

The fact that we could bring our own alcohol attracted us In the first instance and We love Indian food and our experience at the sheesh mahal stood out amongst the myriad of choice of Asian foods, The service was great, staff very friendly, and...the quality of the food was fantastic,, Disabled accessibility was good,, I found the staff assertive on the extra care some of us need, 5 stars, looking forward in returningMore

Nice dinner place. Food was delicious, service was quick. It was a bit empty though, so the atmosphere wasn’t as nice as it could’ve been. Generally nice food and you could even bring your own alcohol if you wish.

House special thali was really tasty, so many different and exciting flavours, great value for money. I also love the vegetable jalfrezi, I have tried so many mixed vegetable curries from all over the local area and this is definitely my favourite. Also one of...the best methi chicken dishes around!More

One of our favourite local restaurants, and it didn’t disappoint tonight. Delicious lamb madras and wonderful takka Dahl. Relishes with poppadums excellent. Highly recommend.

In most Indian restaurants, poppadum quality is invariably a good indicator of what is to come next. They must be served quickly but freshly, and the accompaniments must be generous. The Sheesh Mahal’s poppadums created high expectations and these were fulfilled – both in quality...of food and quality of service. This is a smart clean restaurant but not without atmosphere and the booths are rightfully popular (ask when booking). It is well organised in every way and was deservedly full to capacity on a cold, wet Tuesday evening (helped by a group booking of 20). The menu is comprehensive and, unless we made some exceptionally lucky choices, we would say you’ll find everything is consistently good. Little touches like warm plates gently brushed over with a clean tea-towel confirm the good impressions. If you like Indian food, you’ll love Sheesh Mahal. Highly recommended.More

We stayed in Twickenham in Sept and visited this restaurant twice. Absolutely loved it. On our second visit we made to feel like old friends. The food was fantastic! The vegetarian thali is amazing and I'm not a vegetarian! It is well presented, wonderfully cooked...food and we will return! Thank youMore

Avoid like the plague! Chicken Shashlik and Prawn 🍤 Shashlik main courses. Anyone want to guess the amount of meat in total???? 7 bits, 7!!!! 3 chicken and 4 king prawn for over £21!!!! You’re lucky it was a take away order and I was...back to the hotel by the time I realised. To make matters worse I did not order rice or nann or anything else and was trying to be not too bad. Chancers! I will never be back. Took 2 mins to eat and shockingly enough, still hungryMore

I don't think they have a dress code, pretty sure I've seen people in their on rugby days with their club colours on.
