Great place for a Thai lunch. Excellent value lunchtime express menu with choice of three starters and many yummy main combinations. Friendly staff and quick service. Portions just right. All freshly cooked. Pleasant traditional Fuller's pub environment and lovely garden if the weather is suitable....Don't bother with puddings. £6.95 sticky toffee pudding was poor, with microwaved texture. Banana fritters were off.More

We live just a 5 minute walk from the pub and, having been plenty of times before, decided to head up for a Thai meal and drinks. Meal was great but we were pretty horrified by the bar and outside area. Staff standing around chatting,...no music playing, no candles (or indeed any attempt to create any vague atmosphere). Just a huge TV in the bar area showing football. 1 person, other than us, in the bar at 9pm. We sat down for a few minutes then decided to try outside. Again, no music, no candles, just lots of uncomfortable wooden chairs shoved, without any care or love, around tons of soulless tables. Very sad to see this and I hope it's just a blip. We get that the pub shows the big sporting events but a huge TV blaring out football to 1 person at 9pm has to be really bad for business. The place felt completely devoid of atmosphere and soulless. We had planned to order another bottle of wine but instead left our drinks unfinished and left. Such a shame.More

My family has been coming here before I was even born so it’s safe to say we’ve been coming here for a long time, and the food has never dissapointed, ever! However when we were sat down for our fathers birthday meal we were immediately...asked what drinks we would like, no even having been shown a wine menu. When we asked for a drinks menu they brought over just a wine menu (which I now understand this is the only one they have) would appreaciate it if maybe a separate general drinks menu could be looked into in the future, as running between the table and the bar with the rugby fans just to see what drinks they had available there was extremely frustrating. (The waitress told us she didn’t even know what beers there were…) Secondly the food was incredible as usual! Never had a complaint about that, but for some reason the portions were absolutely massive (my noodles were about double the size they usually are) which completely put us off eating and most of the food got wasted. Lastly my parents ordered pints of ipa from the bar and they were put into a different branded glass, when the waitress came back and asked them if they wanted more drinks my parents said yes and said it was the IPA that they ordered, the waitress then told them no it was the beer that the glass said. After them telling her it wasn’t that and she insisting it was 3 times she walked off, looking incredibly pissed off which was pretty insulting. We will be coming back just because we love the food so much, but it’s been a few times now that there’s been an issue with the staff, so would love if this could be somewhat rectified! Still love it though xMore

Wow - a pub in 2 halves. The Fullers bar staff need several lessons in customer service: they had cancelled our reservation, made earlier in the day online, & insisted they’d sent us an email but none received. Tried to make us feel it was...our fault. Quite aggressive attitude. Sat us right by the bar to wait for a table & the bar staff just stood there chatting instead of serving, so we had to call them over. Bar staff walking around with masks under their noses. But once we got to the Thai Kitchen restaurant the staff couldn’t have been lovelier & the food was great, as usual.More

Just a great pub. One of Fullers best and with fabulous Thai food. This most recent visit was shortly after the end of lockdown yet there wasa full menu and speedy, friendly service. The food was delicious and the price bearable (although the cost of...lager especially is eye watering).More

No, however, there's plenty of parking available on both sides of the road - no yellow lines or any other restrictions and best of all: it's free!
