Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My parents really were craving for authentic Gujarati food especially a thali. We walked off the street and did not have a booking. We waited around 5-10 minutes before we were seated. We ordered a mixture of food as we wanted everything from the menu! We had some Bhajias which were so mourish as they were freshly cooked. Then we moved onto the main meal the thali. OMG! My parents loved it. There was so much food on the plate we struggled to eat it and on top of this the waiter kept topping our plate up. I think this really is the signature dish here. The lovely lady behind the counter even gave a some complimentary Indian sweets ! We were so full from the meal but we made space! The food is made the traditional old fashion way. Yes, you may need to wait slightly longer than normal but that is because it is all made fresh to order. All I can say is keep up the good work.

I used to visit Ashers with my boyfriend back in the early nineties, when we were two impoverished Londoners. We loved it back then, making a trip there almost every Sunday for years. I’d almost forgotten about it until recently after moving to Perivale. Again I paid a visit on a Sunday afternoon... glad to say it hasn’t lost any of it’s charm. The lovely ladies serving and cooking speak very little English but a big smile and menu in English is all that’s required. The place was busy, both with people seated and people wandering in and out for takeaways. Yes, there was a bit of a wait, but no biggie. The food was absolutely delicious. Basic Gujarati food done well. It’s a no-frills type of place, but the food is why you’re there, and I’m so glad I’ve found this place again. Well done Ladies, you’ve done well!

We had a group lunch at this establishment and was fantastic. Service was top notch.
Pure vegetarian and assortments offered is wide ranging and tasty like home cooked. One can park in SDM Mandir for £2 an hour think of it as contribution towards upkeep of the location and good cause.
Prior to visiting the restaurant please check preferred method of payment.

I used to rate this place highly and was my go to place when I went to Ealing Road for years.
Sadly it has been going down hill and I can safely say this was my last visit- prices have rocketed up as well. A masala tea not made in the traditional way now £2.50 for a small teacup. Sorry folks and this is my view .

This establishment is located on Ealing Road, Wembley. Food is tasty and simple. Service can be slow depending on the timing. One need to miss the rush hour, however found the ideal time of 2pm. Parking in this area always remains challenging, however one can park in nearby SDM Mandir (temple) for £2.00 per hour and is ideal, car is safe.
Word of caution: this restaurant is cash only and there is Barclays ATM round the corner.

We wanted a vegetarian meal and tried this establishment for the first time. It is pure vegetarian restaurant/ cafe.We had a warm welcome. Was a little busy inside, but nevertheless
‘Kumar’ greeted us warmly and we asked for a thali (steel plate with small containers of various dishes) see photo.
Starters of popadoms with a selection of chutneys was a delight.
Mains was explained to us by Kumar for a choice of 2 curries. Service was quick. One dish which I’ve never tried was ‘ghatia curry. The chapati’s were freshly made and portions were enough.
Kumar had time to have a nice chat but never felt intrusive, he explained that they make small batches at a time so food was always fresh.
We decided to go for desert - shrikan and ‘mohantal’ shown in photo. Extra portion given as we explained this was our first visit and appreciated it totally.
Will definitely come here again and try other dishes on the menu.

A wonderfully, understated, family run Gujarati restaurant which serves, in my opinion, tastiest Gujarati thali in London. Gently spiced and easy on the stomach, the food at this restaurant doesn't lack flavour. Everything is freshly prepared and the brothers who run the restaurant have great, caring energy. They care about everyone who comes into eat. I started eating here after my the recent passing of my beautiful mother. Before her stroke, 17 years ago, my mum used to cook good, honest Gujarati food just like the food here and for me it evokes memories of her before she recently passed away. Keep up the delicious food made with positive energy.

Recently I have had cravings for Gujarati food and usually this place is a safe bet in Wembley. On the day I went they had some of my favourite things on the menu (guvar, Dokri and bhaji) so I was drooling when I heard that and then I had rotlo! Firstly the positive everything is freshly made and the family who run this place are amazing yes it can take a while but again it’s fresh. My rotlo was amazing. The guvar however had more potato than guvar so was more of a potato curry which is so so disappointing! The bhaji was flavourless and the dokri was too thick. Obviously I was comparing everything to my mum’s cooking and this didn’t meet the standards. Shame as I do love this place…oh yeah and the mango lassi tasted slightly off!

Loved the experience here. Opened at 1pm and by 1.30pm it was full. The owner/manager is lovely and really takes care of you. I got the gujarati thali and it was lovely- came with rice, papad, yogurt, 5 chapattis, dal and two veg curries. Was so good and tasted homemade.

This is our go-to Wembley Gujrati takeaway. Owners are very kind always give us extra roti. The black chana is amazing with undhiyu is perfect with muti. Everything is perfectly spiced and also if you are dining in it is rather warm.

We went to this restaurant to celebrate our mum’s 80th Birthday celebration.
This restaurant was recommended to us especially for its Puran Puris. Our mum’s favourite 😁
The decor is very simple but it was very clean. We got a very warm welcome by the owner and the staff. The owner who took our order was very friendly and flexible. We didn’t have to wait long for the order to arrive as stated in other reviews. The portions were big and very tasty food.
We will definitely be visiting again.
Thank you.

We had some very good authentic gujarati food. The family that runs the place treats everyone as if they are guests at their home. The place overall didn’t have great decor of a restaurant but the food was amazing. The owner also gave a to go sweets box to have on way home. Would highly recommend anyone visiting London to try the Gujarati dishes.

The food was excellent the service was quick, personal and excellent and it was good value for money too. We had sev puri and methi bhajias for starters. The bhajias were made fresh and were hot and delicious! Sev puri was very tasty and yummy! We had puran puri which was out of this world, like home made. We also shared a Special Gujarati thali between the three of us and it was superb and there was so much food that we even brought home the left overs! Absolutely amazing food and service!

I was craving Gujarati food and Ealing road is where I grew up. I remember my dad getting take away from here when my mum wasn't able to cook. Be patient when you come here as the food takes AGES. It's all freshly cooked and the owners couldn't be anymore kind. The food itself for me was a let down...but then again my mum was a legandary cook so nothing will compare. It was all freshly made and hot but I remember it being better. Anyway I got my fix but don't think I'll come here again to satisfy my food cravings.
